Sorned car on jointly owned private land

when asked why he is not 'parking' these vehicles on his own property (he owns a field next to the courtyard)...he just says he is parking them here because he can.......hence why we (the other residences) are looking for what we can do to offset this.0

Sorn is relevent as this is only allowed if a vehicle is on private land....however the private land this sorned van is on is jointly owned....so must a Sorned car be on the vehicle owner's private land, or can this be on land jointly owned by the vehicle owner, but without agreement with the other owners.0

No a sorn vehicle must be off a road maintained at public expense. He’s doing nothing wrong and is right in saying he’s parking there cause he can.0 -
My main question is whether one of the joint owners of private land can dump a Sorned car on it, when the majority of owners do not want this. Also there is another car which was dumped on the road 8months ago, not Sorned......just looking for a way forward to get rid of these vehicles.
Yes without anything in any contract preventing it he can do what he wants. And it isn't dumping, its parking. There is no way forward to get rid of the vehicles because it is on private land. For SORN it doesn't matter whether it is the owners private land or a complete strangers, as long as it is not on the Queens Highway or a public place as defined in the Road Traffic Act then that will suffice. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. This private access road has public access rights, and another concern from the residents is that if this vehicle is Sorned, it probably has no insurance (we can!!!8217;t check whether it has or not) hence my question about shouldn!!!8217;t it be on his own property?.....as it is on jointly owned land, if there is an accident involving this vehicle...who is responsible?0

That's his problem not yours.
Your only way forward is the diplomatic route.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
We have all already tried this various times without success.0
