Afternoon All
Firstly, thank you for the messages, I have been reading them and I do appreciate them. I guess I was feeling lonely and left out. Must be a man thing, or should I term it the only man thing??
It has been a busy two days, Had a meeting at Heathrow yesterday, then visted my parents on the way home, then gym, (21 mins Cycle Level 13, 21mins Cross Trainer Level 11 burnt 855 Calories) then home to shower, back out to do the shopping. Got home at gone 9pm!! Today was a day off and What!! No Gym, I decided not to go a) to rest my legs before the rugby tomorrow and b) I should now take a chance and not go every day.
Yes the gym refurb is starting to pee me off, or rather the mis-management of it. I use the Livingwell gym in a Hilton hotel and its the Hotel management that are messing around, booking the temp gents changing room back into a meeting room. Removing the treadmill completely. Booking the meeting room next door to the gym out for three days, so no noisey work in the gym can be carried out. Not been able to shower, please forgive me for the next one, but the first people to use the gents changing room once completed will be the women, so not to upset the ladies when their changing room gets refurb'd  Its all starting to stack up
This week as I am now off salad (too cold) I tried my hand at casseroling, nothing special, just various root veg and chicken stock, and it seemed to go ok, (MrsSuggs and her son liked them) so bought a slow cooker from Argos for £10 and today am cooking chicken casserole today in it, Do we have any recipes? or hints around?? Actually was going to do soup, but ended up casseroling
Off out tonight to watch the England Under21 match at the MKDons stadium. And yes I am a Luton supporter and still will be once the FA have finsihed with us
Anyways, I will be sticking around, it is a case of one thing and another effecting me, I cant go into detail, its a case of home/work/exams/children etc you know the thing, but I keep thinking I am making mistakes and getting things wrong. so yes even this man needs his hugs and wants to feel valued :grouphug:
So thank you once again, I do value you all, I certainly would not have lost over 11stone without your help and assistance, yes I do see myself as fat (Im still over 17stone!!) but if I want to play rugby I need to settle down now and maybe even tone up. My inner thighs are shocking!! and as for my bingo flaps!
And where oh where is Petrichor????
Take Care
Peter x
(ps - emmalis - please assume the position, am coming to get you)

Been worried about you today suggs keep mentioning you to my OH and have logged om especially to see if you had posted...we all care about you and glad to see you have come back, all your probs, can you make a list of them and prioritise which one needs to be attended first and is the most stressfull etc and work through the list? That is what I do, fortunately normally if you expect the worst you don't always get it:D
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: take time for yourself, sometimes it is good to be selfish to bring logic to life;)
OH bought me a replacement wedding ring today for the one I LOST in the sea in Spain so am well chuffed, it also doubles up by keeping the other rings that are now too big on my finger if I put them on first and the new proper size one on last!! Very happy with it, got it from the second hand/pawn shop/pre owned shop and just love the fact we went and chose it together, regardless of the cost etc and it fits, yeah!!0 -

Suggs, I love my slow cooker - it really helps me sometimes to not reach for rubbish when I'm tired. I know there are certain days when I will be very tempted to have a takeaway: Tues after weigh in and Thurs when I have to inject an immune suppressant drug and I feel ill for 24hrs. So now I plan to get a meal cooking in the slow cooker on those two days - something nice and meaty as that my default comfort food. There is a slow cooker recipe thread on here somewhere and I have posted a couple of recipes in the WL section but haven't checked if they are still there since the hiatus. I do beef bourginon and a morrocan chicken dish where I cut up and use a whole (skin removed) chicken, all 'syned' up ala SW and no added fat. (Let me know if you want the recipes).I tend to avoid the 'chucking anything in' approach as I like variety of flavours and I'd just end up having the same thing all the time. I do think recipes are good - how about getting a Slow cooker cookbook - all recipes can be adapted for WL.
bails: well the final countdown to 6.30. I really relate to the problem of crying when trying to address these sorts of things. I've had a very difficult conversation with my Sis-law this week, at least 18 years over due, and of course i sobbed all the way through and now she thinks I'm cracking up  (and I was told what I feel is rubbish  ). It's very hard to express how much someone has hurt you. But take heart that things did move forward a bit for us.
Fantastic news on the job front: how wonderful to be recognised.
Yup I checked your bmi and didn't know how to break it to you that technically you do just fall in the obese category. So phew! You found out on your ownBut you are right to take it as a rough guide line only.
Ok kpc, it's now the weekend -are you planned and ready - remember - allow yourself treats so you don't feel you've blown it. Take it one meal at a time.
Pixiedust: I think you should make cakes: lifes for living - just make them 'healthier' and don't tell either! There must be cake recipes on the recipes thread (link was on page 1). I'm not a cake eater (not because I'm good, but because I was born like it) so have nothing to offer, sorry
bbI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
That seaweed bath sounds nice, was it one at home or at a salon/the gym?
Just a home one Bails. I should clarify that my gym is also at home, I have a few cardio machines and a variety of fitness accessories. I used to go to a gym, but the home gym works a lot better for me
Suggs, great to see you back and sorry to hear of the gym problems. Are you getting any kind of compensation during the refurb? Sounds like you're not really getting the value you would expect for your money. 855 cals in 2x 21min sessions, wow! I am going to try that next week and see how close I can get to it
Must dash for now...0 -
i'm ready suggs - you know my hubby is now starting to get a bit jealous!!
Wish I could get my wedding ring on. Not been able to wear since i was 3 months pregnant with my little one she's now nearly 2 1/2!! At least mine is still in one piece - my hubby is an industrial electrician & managed to zap his into tiny pieces with 240v of electrical current. Was thinking of getting him a new one for xmas but not sure if i can afford it. Our original ones came for H Samuels & we had to order his specially he's a size z, mine was an n but i'm now a p or q i think. Mine cost £59 his £79 5 years ago but we chose them together & they matched which was lovely. I've got some argos vouchers I will have to have a look cos i will have to order it in for him.
Yes some of my days can be a bit hectic. Mainly doing stuff with Maddison - she goes to playschool tues afternoons, & wednesday mornings, books for babies wednesday afternoons, thursday's we normally go to mum's & nanny's, & Friday mornings we go to messy play and then fun start in the afternoon followed by a walk into town, get home about 4/430 ish then get stuff together to go to MiL's for tea. I do manage to find time to get some of my tip I call home clean & tidy & have coffee with a friend. I get bored staying in all the time so if hubby is home at weekends we try to do stuff together at the weekend. If he's lucky and i'm not tired we may get a bit of "scrabble practice" in too!!
Anyway no MiL's tonight she's going out hubby's working tonight anyway.
Oh nearly forgot - I applied for a saturday job in tescos pharmacy last week. They phoned yesterday & asked if i would be interested in one of the temporary xmas jobs they've got available and could i go for group interview monday at 5.00. Well I said yes please forgetting my hubby will be at work no w i can't get a babysitter. MiL said she would have her if i couldn't get anyone else & my mum's a school caretaker & works 3-6 in the evenings & has said she could take her to work with her if i'm desperate. either way got 20 min drive to get her there. Fingers crossed I will have some money to go towards xmas & to go shopping in the sales after xmas. It's only 5-6 weeks work but if they like me & i like them it may lead to permanent shifts.Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Pixiedust how about scones? Low fat, relatively low in sugar. They can all put squirty cream and jam on theirs and you could just put a tiny bit of jam on yours. Yours won't be very nice to eat but hey you can't have everything.:rotfl:
Suggs --- I guess I was feeling lonely and left out. Must be a man thing, or should I term it the only man thing?? No Suggs dearest -- that's a person thing. Hands up who's never felt lonely and left out. See, no one has their hand up cos we all feel like that sometimes. Just don't let it worry you, it's part of being a human being. and as for feeling fat and worrying about your innner thighs ....... well that's why we love you.
Bails I'm sending positive vibes for all your Dementor moments.0 -
Good luck Emmalis for the group interview on Monday.0

:mad:Grr, they're not going to be here til 20 to 8 now - every time I hear a car door I jump, not that I'm totally worked up or anything! After the long journey, I'm not sure it's the right time to say anything, OH suggested I could wait til tomorrow over breakfast but I'm not sure what to do... Can't wait til the whole thing is over!!!
Good luck with the job interview Emmalis, and nice to have you back Suggs, Grannynise hit the nail on the head, we're all people.
Sorry no more time, got to pace up and down my living room...:D See you on the other side, hopefully without a manslaughter charge hanging over me:rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

thanks for the good luck messages guys. If i get the job then this will be the first job I had since having my little one. Bit nervous though. not a very confident person although my confidence has grown a bit since becoming a mum. A lot different to what I used to do as well i used to be a training administrator for social services mainly setting up training courses for social workers ie booking venues, doing flyers, sorting application forms, typing & copying handouts etc. so really different. I'm hoping that once my planned next baby is school age I can get into a school office which would work really well for me. Anyway got to get back to watching the children in need episode of dr who - ohh he's gorgeous!!
good luck with MiL by the way bailsLife is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.
