Hi BB sorry to hear about your back :( What happened to make it so bad (if you don't mind me asking?) Hope you feel better soon. More clothes sounds like a good idea, I hope you have at least doubled the contents of your wardrobe since this was last mentioned!

KPC I hope they notice your haircut, if they are not too distracted by the lovely food. I had six inches cut off mine last week and as predicted not a single person has noticed! :D

Bails, I know you're not around much this weekend but you'll see this when you catch up, I wanted to say how much respect I have for you running the marathon. I have been on the finish line in an official capacity and seen first hand the pain and suffering, definitely not for the faint-hearted. It all looks so jolly when you watch it on tv... so a very belated congratulations for your achievement (did you just do it the once?)
  • Hmm... Chickpea cake... I have to say, I'm not convinced, but I'll give it a go!

    Thanks KPC :)

All good thanks BB. I haven't lost any weight - have maintained to the pound - but that's a bit of a bonus because I've discovered the marvels of breadmakers. :D They're grrrrrr-eat!

How's everything here? I had a quick flick back and saw Suggsy had a girly strop but he made up for it - turns out he's a big man in every way, not just on the rugby pitch ;)

My back is a bit of a mystery missyg. Started twinging early Oct and these last 2 weeks has become completely crippling at night. I'm a guinea pig in a drug trial at the mo for a very new immune suppresant drug for another health issue, and it is possible this is an unfortuanate side effect - I've just had various blood tests and my consultant is checking out info with the makers. I've tried physio and she'd mystified - she initially thought it was brought on by my weight loss:rolleyes: : i.e. the surplus fat used to support my back and is now gone and the weak muscles left behind aren't coping. But subsequent visits aren't backing this up. I see my gp on Monday to see if she can shed any further light on the problem.
As for clothes - no haven't bought any more but must! Have unearthed a few things i have had saved from 5-6 years ago that I could never face ditching so am wearing a lovely purple mohair cardie today for the first time now it fits again, so that feels 'new'.

  • oh no bb!!! I hope you are feeling better soon. Ajax how ya doin? it's been ages since you were on here. Have you seen that ad on the tv for mattessons smoked pork sausage? I nearly swallowed my tongue, it's unfeasibly suggestive.

can't believe npone noticed your hair missyg. Mind, looking at your sig they are probably too busy asking about the weight loss!!!

Ah! that well known tool of satan - the breadmaker :D You've done very very well then to maintain. Are you happy to continue maintaining at the mo?

    :D Hi ajax :D

chickpea cake:rolleyes: there are lots of treats on the WW dessert side for 1 point or more, had a good look round Asda today and bought the WW pate, the WW turkey breast etc etc loads in fact!

Went to Lidl and got the phesant, goose, lobster and crab they keep advertising on the tele ready for xmas let's hope because it is cheaper than elsewhere it tastes just as good, looking forward to the lobster:D

I have had a bad tummy all day now, it came on after lunch when I had one too many bits of red cabbage in vinegar and pickled onions, the acidicness has got to me:rotfl: :rotfl: oh well every negative has a positive at least it stops me wanting anything else to eat:D

KPC no I haven't seen it but then with all of the Nigella Expresses still sitting on the V+ box there's very little telly time left for anything else. I'll wear out that bit of the V+ hard drive if I'm not careful.

BB... I want to say "No I'm not happy to maintain" but I guess the fact that I'm not really trying that hard to lose would contradict that. So I dunno :) Now then, a bit of a suggestive smile re Suggs there... you seen him in the shower?

    :hello: victory
