Ok, so out for a bit of retail therapy, now that I am down to about 3 tops and 2 pairs of trousers after a massive wardrobe clearout. I have bought a pair of 14 trousers (refuse to even pick up the 16 now) They look great and although snug, feel comfortable. However, they give me such a big muffin top that if you sprinkled me with chocolate chips, I'd eat myself.
    Do I
(a)keep the lovely troos and wait to see if the look better when I've lost another half stone (given that weight loss is slowing up) or
    (b) return them and look for something that I can wear now?

Keep them Brighton belle! If they feel OK and look great now and you are still losing, there's no reason to take them back!

That must have been SOME clear out! Well done :D

Just a quickie to say I've got my swap box - thank you Starlight, you obviously did some homework as you realised I like doing Sudoku, so I have a book full of them to keep me going, and some trainer socks to wear when I go to the gym, a candle to light when I'm wallowing in the bath, and a lovely picture frame for me to display photos of my granddaughter :D:D:D:D

Lovely - and how exciting! I'm like a kid at Christmas!

    Thank yooooouuuuuuu!

Just seen the news and we should all be at the lower end of the normal range of BMI!!

There i was thinking how marvellous it will be to finally slip into the normal range, albeit at the top ( overweight at the moment) and to think that I would be a picture of health and fitness.........

    Still, must soldier on......

I vote for keeping them ... just wear a loosish top to hide the little overflow area for now, then in a few days/weeks you can wear them with a top that shows off your curves. I assume you'll have curves: curves is good.

Wilroda don't panic about your BMI too much. The amount of muscle you have affects it too. Evidently sportsmen and women have surprisingly high BMI and are still jolly fit. (not that I'd know anything about being a muscly sportsperson sadly)

Wilroda - that figures. I'm exactly in the middle of normal right now after months of effort so I should have known they'd move the goal posts on me the minute I got there! :D

Also, Wilroda - getting into the 'normal' BMI range was one of the most satisfying moments of my weight loss journey so far! Don't let what's on the news take that away from you!

Brighton belle - yeah the trousers are staying :D Good choice! Now I think you need to go shopping for a few more things, because what happens when your 3 tops and 2 trousers are in the wash! :o
  • keep the trousers bb!

i'm still all bubbling that the swap worked out so well. There's also been some great weight loss achievements on here this week, I'm feeling really motivated now. OH is away all weekend and this time i am NOT going to use it as an excuse to binge eat chocolate. I'm going to stick to the plan, go green all weekend and eat SW chips till i pop. It's a step in the right direction at least.
