Hi all, I wasn't around much last week as it was half term so I was away from the computer a lot. Hope everyone is well, enjoy your boxes :D I wish I had time to comment on everything I've missed but I've only got a few minutes now.

I've now just started "phase 3" of my weight loss which is now that I've got to a 22 BMI and approx size 10, I want to go for an extra half stone before Christmas and generally tone up (esp tummy). If I can get to a size 8 in the process that would be a bonus.

I've been losing weight for several months now so last week I decided to have a "maintain" week just as a little breather, but I was surprised how hard I needed to work just to maintain! I kept to the same sort of food as when I've been losing weight, and only let the workouts and exercise slip a tiny bit.

It has really brought home to me that to keep this new figure, I'm going to have to work hard at it long-term. I'm not saying I want to slip back into bad habits, I definitely don't, but I was hoping I could lighten up by 5-10% or so! Any words of wisdom from other maintainers?

A big 52wt0za.gifto grannynise :j :j Who sent me a variety of herbs and spices - Whole lemon grass, Kaffir lime leaves, Wild Myrtle (something I have never seen in the shops before), and a tin of Baharat (a Middle Eastern spice) I haven't opened it yet but the ingredients sound just right for me. I love cooking, and love the flavours of middle eastern cooking, so this will come in handy when making up low calorie - high taste dishes :j :j Also there was a bottle of 3 in 1 spray fragrance (lavender) for body, room and linen. I am so pleased with it all granny, Thank you. Well done for only gaining 0.5lb, must have have a lot of exercise;) in [strike]Egy[/strike] Florence ;) ...

...67p2kip.gifkatiepoppycat for introducing it to us and for organising it all, it was great fun :T :T ...

...Welcome back bargainbabe sorry to hear that you've put it all back on, but at least you're back here and that's what matters :j :j there's still time to get rid of quite a bit ready for Christmas...

    ...Well done spirit :j :j

Congratulations Bails on getting the job. I bet you can't wait to get started.

And big big hugs to Brighton Belle - hope you are feeling brighter soon.

I was sorry I missed out on the swap boxes but reading your threads and your excitement and what you have all got has been great - thanks for sharing.

I can't wait till next time - so count me in!!
  • I'm really excited about getting my swap box now...everyone has thought of such good ideas....It hasn't arrived yet but that doesn't really matter as if it doesn't fit through the letter box It'll have to wait until I can collect it on Saturday as our local post depot has the most ridiculous opening times.

I've been quite good foodwise for the past two days but it has coincided with feeling completely blue and fed up for no apparent reason...I'm lacking the fun aspect of stuff at the moment...planning to try those falafals on the recipes thread as soon as I find a spare 10 mins when I don't just want to fall asleep

Bails fantastic wonderful news! I'm so pleased for you. Can you bottle some of your enthusiasm and send it over here? I've got just one or two staff that could do with a glass or two. What set texts are you going to read?

well done everyone!! Congratulations on the new job bails thats excellent.

My DD has a bad cold & was screaming the house down so I just left the PC on grabbed her & a loaf of bread and took her into town to feed the ducks. couldn't resist popping into boots & jumping on the scales again and do you know what they lied to me yesterday as I have actually lost 2lbs this week and not stayed the same at all. 1lb to go till my first stone!!!

Forgot to do my measurements when I started to lose weight so I did them on Saturday & since then I have lost 1 1/2" from my hips 1" from my thighs, 1" from underneath my bust 1" from the fullest bit of my bust & 1" from the top of my arms the rest stayed the same. But still amazing in just a couple of days. I knew I lost some from my arms cos a top I bought a few weeks ago that is supposedly an 18 was really tight on my arms and is now comfortable. Even though my waist hasn't changed since the weekend i can see I lost some from there I don't have so much flab to lift up :rotfl:
Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Sorry I can't help you missyg (I wish I could), apart from saying that I think that it needs more than a week to get into different frame of mind. As Suggs said earlier...

Anyway the dietictian is more than happy with me, she understands my thought process in that I am finding it hard to stop, and she is encouraging me to settle into a new thought process. I go back to see her just before Christmas...

Hopefully Suggs will be able to enlighten us when he sees his dietitian again at least I jolly well hope so :rotfl:...

...Anyway, you sound as if you are doing so well :T and by the time you get to your target, perhaps you'll find it easier to deal with.

    Hi all :hello:

It's so exciting hearing about everyone's swap boxes, I can't wait to get home! I hope it's there, I'm like a big kid and can't bear the thought of having to wait! Maybe I should go home now in case there's a card to take to the sorting office :D

Bails - well done! I'm really pleased for you. :j

Retiredlady - you may even have had a loss this week, as I find I can have a 4 or 5 pound difference between a morning weigh in and an evening weigh in.

KPC - thank you so much for suggesting and organising the swap boxes, I've really enjoyed the whole process, and I haven't even seen mine yet! :D

Efriese - can you put me down for a half pound loss please. Does the October challenge end today?
Well done to everyone whose lost weight this week. :T

Right, I'm going to lock up now and go home on time for a change...:p

    Catch you later!
