  Well I've done it. th_holidayinWales163.jpg

They're dreadful but I guess that's what the befores are meant to be. Especially the one from the back where I've got the shoulders of an American football player. th_aaarrrghhhh.jpg

What worries me is ...... will the afters look any better?

xI'm so happy that other people are posting their photos too! It's lovely to put faces to names. You both look lovely, which we already knew of course! Efrieze, I've seen your first photos before and remember thinking how fantastic you looked and now with this latest one...well, all I can say is 'WOW'!!!!! You look absolutely stunning, and are such an inspiration to me! (and I think you'd look fab in a bikini). Thankyou girls for sharing your photos and I look forward to all the others that are being dug out :D

BB, I sentence you to...describe every last detail of your dinner to me, it sounds yummy! I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself, Suggs' reply was spot on. Balance is the key to sustaining a healthy weight and life so well done you!

Right, we're on a mission to get our house a little straight, and at the moment OH is the only one doing anything so I'd better dash! xx

Ooh, ooh Grannynise, thank you so much - you deserve one of these :T I completely understand how hard it is but we are all on here with the same motivation and goal so this is a safe place to post them. Thankyou so much for putting them up, I think you look lovely, and a very fun person (as proved by your posts that constantly make me howl with laughter!). Do you know what I notice with all the photos so far? Everyone has amazing, sparkly eyes! I don't want to gush but, oh, what the h*ll - we're all lovely people who should be very proud of being on here and taking control of our lives and weight. With so much sparkle and energy and fun in us, it would be such a shame to spend the rest of our lives hiding or feeling down because of our weight. I am proud of all of us and to be part of such a wonderful group xxx

Well, I wouldn't look good in a bikini. Net yet and probably not ever. Actually, this brings me into another question I wanted to raise on here. Has anyone every had a 'body wrap'. They are supposed to help you temporarily lose inches (by removing water???). I wanted to know whether it was worth doing before I go to Australia for being on the beach - but wanted to know how long it lasts and if anyone has any experience of these things (positive or negative). Thanks

Hello everyone! Lazy Saturday for me, hope you're all having fun! Has anyone braved the shops today? Hehe.

Bails, if I don't quite make the 8.5 stone so be it, I won't be shedding any tears but I want to know I have tried my best! I will make it a 1 January goal instead and I'm pretty sure that's achieveable.

The numbers are just really tight, my BMR is 1304, lightly active=1793 so a 2lb/week loss pace is 793 cals/day(!), but they say 1200 cals is minimum so you can see where I'm struggling. On 1200/day I can expect to lose 1-1.5lb/week being moderately active but that's still little intake and a lot of exercise! Sorry for all the numbers! They even go down again with every lb I lose! This isn't a moan by the way, as 1200 is more than I was on before and I'm feeling really good at the moment! :D

Brighton Belle, I'm a fan of internet shopping as well! I also do mine fortnightly but I'm a terrible scrooge, I book slots for Tesco and Sainsburys 2 weeks apart and go through in 2 separate browser windows adding items depending which is cheapest in which store. How sad! :rotfl:

Suggs, still thinking about the picture, I'll get back to you ;) But it won't be a bikini (I don't even own one!). Perhaps gym kit.

Delly thank you! I haven't been this slim as an adult before, it's all new territory for me and something I never thought possible. I know I keep on about how slow it is now, but literally every fraction of a lb that comes off is a new "personal best" for me and that's very gratifying! Glad you had a good time shopping, I totally agree with you about bright colours for kids clothes, and you're right to pass with the trousers! They are a nightmare, the pairs I was so happy to finally get a few weeks ago are already too loose! Argh!!!

Hmm my thank you buttons have disappeared. Is there a daily quota? I've probably done too many!!!

Granny, you look ever bit as adorable as I imagined:T . Well done you. FRom your posts I have long felt I would spend time with you anywhere as even more so now.(except if I had to share stewart obviously)
OH and I have just had a hilarious session taking 'now' photos - which I think I don't look that good in ( that's the trouble when you still feel 25 inside and your body is pretending you're really middle aged (no no no I didn't use that word!!!). One of them I overdid the manic grinning and look sectionable so that won't be going up:D
Anyway, we then when on a hunt for 'before' photos and found some corkers which make 'now' seem a little better. Nervous of uploading, but if grannynise can do it, then I must too. However, OH camera batteries need recharging first, so it will be a few hours before you need to run for cover

OK never mind, I'd been logged out (again) and that's why the thank u buttons disappeared! False alarm!

Delly thanks for posting your pic! How old is your DS? Grannynise I'm sure that took some courage if you think those pictures are 'dreadful' as you say! I should think after losing 60lb the after ones are going to be very different indeed, not that the ones you've posted are that bad! The last one isn't the most flattering angle as you have your head down so your shoulders look bigger than they probably really are!

The main thing is... OK, we may not be happy with how we look in pictures (or real life), but we are here TAKING ACTION, doing something about it! Not burying our heads in the sand! Plenty of others complain about being too big, but do absolutely zilch.

Efrieze your series of pics are amazing! You look absolutely stunning in that black dress too, very elegant! You must get compliments all the time about your fantastic loss! About your question, I had a wrap many years ago and they may be better now - there was impressive 'instant' inch loss, but it is only fluid loss and was all gone within 48 hours and I wouldn't bother again. You can get detox/metabolism boosting massages and I would prefer one of those. Elemis do a special one and I can look that up for you if you like.

BB Well I won't be prosecuting, haha! I hope you enjoyed every mouthful!!! Good for you! Looking forward to your pic! :D

    Hi Peeps :j :j

Haven't read through completely, I was just going to post today's Christmas picture, but I just have to comment and say a huge thank you to all of you who have posted pictures :T :T ....granny YES the 'after' pictures will be better and we look forward to seeing them, so there!... efrieze What can I say other than you look absolutely stunning :jYour pictures will surely inspire anyone who is struggling, to persevere because the effort is well worth it!...delly It's lovely to meet you :D so I've decided to take the bit between my teeth, now brace yourself peeps, I will not be held responsible for any harm that it causes >>>mesmallerstillad3.jpg. It has been cropped and shrunk from a photo taken in July 2005, when I thought I was slim until I saw the photo :o if I get a bit braver I'll show you why. I went on to gain a couple more stone, but I don't have any photos of me at that stage, I wish I had now, maybe it would help...

...Anyway, now for the real reason I logged on, as it's such a miserable day let's get the tree up and look! Isn't it lovely? ...
