Just as we were going out of the door, mum came (as every night - she does not remember who i am, but she knows she comes to every night). She said she did not feel well. Ds3 took her home. We went out for meal and went to check on her. The door was locked, but all the windows were open. No answer. No one had heard from her. So i go home and get my key, and let myself in. Found her in bed. Wondered for a moment if she had passed... Decided i had better check! She was fine. Closed the windows and locked up.

Abbafan it was ages after I left group that I got chucked off the app - I wrote down a lot of the syns for the things I used regularly before I lost access.

sorry to hear about your mum - my Dad was in a similar position about 18 months ago and I know how worrying it all is, but well done on your loss.

Well done all other losers. This challenge is looking promising!

I've had a tummy bug for a couple of days so totally off plan and not much in the way of food at all (and no drinks as planned :() but I'm feeling a bit better today so all should be back to normal tomorrow. DD1 and DGD here tomorrow and have asked for a barbecue, which is easy for SW at least.

    Happy Bank Holiday, all.

    Thank you :)

    Get well soon

Mama - Years ago a friend told me that if you drink green tea if helps you lose weight. I began drinking it. When I moaned to my friend that it tastes vile, but I am addicted and have not lost a pound.... she told me I had to stop sticking cr*p in my mouth as well as it was not a miracle!

You appear to be fairly on the wagon to me!

    Enjoy your holidays xxx

I know the feeling.... especially pastry!

Tweets, you are back on a role. Well done xxxx

We are going out for a meal tonight as DS3 is leaving home (well going away to work in the very north of Scotland for 4 months). We will be childless, first time in 29 years.

The thought of an empty house is horrid. :o:o:o

What I meant was I had too much alcohol last night. Didn't have any gin tonight but I have eaten 2 (fake) Magnum lollies!

    Did you enjoy them?

I had a carvery, so all meat and veg, except some roast pot, mash, yorkshire pud and gravy.... the DS2 insisted I tried his millionaire shortcake - it was yuke - far too sweet and greasy.

I certainly did but won't be making a habit of having them.

Haven't had millionaires shortcake for years - used to love the stuff! Suspect I'd find it too sweet now as well.

Well I am piddled off. Well and truly piddled off.

Jumped on the scales this morning 185..... two days ago it read 179 and apart from the meal out last night I have been 100% on plan with at least 10,000 steps a day.

OH in his very individual supportive way says .... well you are hormonal, and will be full of **** after last nights meal.

So my weigh in should be +3.2 - but I think I will weigh myself in the morning to see its better. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Only I can vary 6 lbs in 3 days!

On a sad note - DS3 has just left.... he could be gone for 4 months. But the positive is in situations like this I would normally turn to bread/pastry.... but I had fruit, yoghurt and my 35g of bran flakes... :D:D:D

I went through a faze of weighing myself everyday and the daily difference is shocking, I think you can drive yourself crazy trying to work out why. It takes all my will power to only step on those scales once a week.

Well done on choosing the healthy option, stress and sadness is a big pull xx
