Parking Issues..

The neighbour is doing nothing illegal if that's where he normally parks and that's the end of the story.Unfortunately that's not where they normally park. The day we lowered the Kerb is they day they moved from the bay to there. They would on occasion park in the bay now and again but of late they tend to just leave it in the middle of the close. Worse when we have bins collected and left by the kerb. They would park close to the bin but this even reduces the gap at the back even more.
Then why even post that photo, ridiculous, I'm out. It's nothing , not nothink.0 -
I've not read all the way back but...
did you just 'drop the curb' yourself and build your new drive, or did you apply for the appropriate permissions from the council? And the council then dropped the curb?
If you applied, did the neighbours make a formal objection? What consideration did the council Planners give to the parking requirements of the street?
If you did not apply, but just went ahead and dropped the curb yourself, well - when you take the law into your own hands, don't be surprised if others react badly.....0 -

OP said they went through the correct procedure.
Personally, I think they've had quite a lot of stick over this. They haven't done anything wrong and most people here would be peed-off if their neighbour did something similar.
Nevertheless, in the absence of a parking bay marked parallel to the kerb, or a yellow line restriction, I'd carry on coping and ignore neighbour's attempt to wind me up.0 -

I think there is a lot of jealousy on this forum from people who can't afford to buy their own home/property empire.
OP if they park next to your bins maybe remind them that parking there means the bins could damage their car and you won't be responsible. And if they have 6 cars as stated they don't deserve any sympathy for not having got themselves a house with parkingAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0 -
In the image you can see the bays are free, and they hold six cars in total.
I think the OP means the parking bays hold 6 cars, not the neighbours0 -
