it is always worth an ask...........I had a lovely upgrade in madrid a few years ago as the trip was near my birthday , sometimes nothing comes of it but if you don't ask you don't get

Where did that weekend go............I had an early morning hair appointment on Saturday with my daughter and then we took the hour journey to view my eldest daughters new flat.
It seems such a very grown up step and I'm sure marriage and making me a nanny aren't too far away.
The flat is lovely and very spacious and the neighbourhood very well kept and quiet , I'm sure they are going to be very happy.
We had lunch in a local weatherspoons , so saturday amounted to £28.00 spend with the haircut

After that I went over to NM , I've been craving pie and mash for ages which he remembered and found one open in to the evening.
It was a bit of a let down but the thought was there.
Yesterday we decided to head out to a london market but his car played up , we jumped started it and then stopped for diesel about half hour later and the thing wouldn't start again so my AA cover kicked in and we abandoned the plan and took the car home to pick mine up instead
No car spares places open on Sundays to pick the battery up so instead it was out to buy some tools for the removal followed by a lovely meal at chiquito's courtesy of meerkat deals

The intention was to jump start the car this morning before I left for work but it was cold and dark and to be honest we fell back to sleep and there wasn't really enough time to do it but he had a plan B so will be fine.

He has a few unexpected days off of work and I'd like to see him as much as poss but I detected that my mum was missing my company so maybe tonight I'll stay home and spend a little bit of time with her.

Barclaycard payment goes out tomorrow and then all my obligations for the month have been sent - its a long month this month with payday falling on the 31st October but I'm optomistic that I'll reach it in the black and may even be able to make some additional payments
  • Didn't stay home but am at the gym tonight so I will - I need to sleep in my own bed from time to time !!
Considering another trip to the cinema tomorrow to see the new will smith film , will run it past him on a meerkat

Very old work mate popped in to visit today - so great to see him

Barclaycard payment has gone so now I have better visability on the remainder of the month budget

I'm currently fighting the urge to treat myself to a new jacket for the autumn , I don't really need it but have a few short trips coming up and it would be nice - Besides when you have lost some weight and trimmed up , you do need these things don't you ?
  • just when it all seems to be going so well , got home last night and I have a penalty charge notice of £65 for entering a bus lane !
I recall this was the afternoon that I was at serious risk of having an accident due to an upset stomach and had to keep my buttocks tight !!!
I just needed to find a convenience stop !!
really annoying as I think I just pulled over in to the filter lane slightly too early but as my daughter pointed out " its a small price for pay for not pooping yourself ! "
I think I'd rather the latter

so £65.00 that I hadn't budgeted for to be found before it doubles to £130 !!
At least it put pay to my new jacket wants !! Also didn't call past sainsburys first thing to check out their hoover sale with the intention of maybe picking one up for my daughters housewarming present
I think instead I will wait and see what they need further down the line.

Gym last night , I've upped the resistance on all the apparatus I'm using and managed to do an extra mile on the bike , I think the coming weeks will be a challenge as the dark evenings are now kicking in. I'm so close to being where I want to be and feel really toned now which has had a knock on effect with my general sense of well being.

Can't decide whether I want to go to the cinema tonight or just chill in front of the TV ..............I guess I don't need to decide yet

    Have a good day everyone
  • Decided against the cinema and had a night with the BBC instead - I guess this could be classed as a saving ??? or Just a "not spend"

Looking for something to do this weekend , its black history month and I've seen a few interesting looking presentations but never attended anything like this before so not sure if its down my street
I guess only attending will answer that question

We will be going to the market on SAturday morning , i need winter boots and perhaps a waistlength jacket but I have something particular in mind so we will see.
  • Thank god its the weekend !!

Frequented the gym and decided to weigh - I haven't moved , as I thought I've hit a bit of a stalemate so its my intention to mix things up a bit and up the anti a bit at the gym.

Spends have taken a hit with the PCN and a small BNPL balance on Very ( New resolution to not use this facility)
Its now slightly shaky whether we will get through the month in the black however the account is still healthier then it was in September so I am optomistic and will aim for damage limitation

I overslept this morning , well technically woke up with my alarm twice and went back to sleep - School girl error
I ended up being half hour late for work
Also means I have to go home before going to NM's as my intention was to put a bag together this morning - best laid plans and all that
We are supposed to be going out this evening - Not sure where yet but hopefully cheap and cheerful !! I will contribute and fortunately I am a cheap date so I'm hoping no where to dear !!
  • so today for some reason I'm having a down day :(

Had a lovely weekend , went over to NM on Friday night and we went out to a bar in his town to meet some friends , then on the saturday we got up and took a road trip to a market out of town and had lunch in the harvester
by the time we got back on saturday we were too worn out to consider doing anything in the evening other then a couple of films and match of the day
Yesterday my daughters took me out for dinner and paid which was lovely

I didn't get to sleep until late last night and slept through my first alarm , i'm feeling tired and snotty and a bit down in the dumps but I'm wondering whether I'm just over tired
I feel like I just want to cry and am not progressing in life but I know this is a bit irrational - I mean what do I really want ? I can't have constant amusement and holidays

I'm going to head to the gym after work and hopefully this will help - I've got the beginnings of a cold maybe too which would explain why i'm feeling run down

Nothing really to report on money matters apart from a £7.00 spend for work lunch today as our shopping comes on monday so I'm always one day short
  • oh on a positive I may have a buyer for the rouge laptop ! this would be good news
  • How are the gym sessions going??? Keep them up they will help if you are feeling down a tiny bit

    Hi Scott

I dragged my sorry bum there last night and did feel better for it
I'm so close to being where I want to be , about 2 - 3 lbs and then I just need to keep on a level

I am noticing a much more chiselled frame - off course with that comes a lot of my clothes now being a bit too big !!
