  • Cats are most definitely a need in my book! Yes they cost but so do loads of other things you and I probably don’t spend money on which non cat people (strange beings) do!
Enjoying your diary and with you all the way. Hope you, your kids and cats have a lovely day.

  • Just wanted to say Happy Christmas Cat - have a lovely relaxing time and enjoy the time off.

By the way, my little fat ancient woofer is also a non-negotiable xx
  • Well, I have enjoyed my slow cooked beef with potatoes and carrots, but the kids were not interested. DD is still moaning about feeling sick but shovelled some chicken goujons down, and ds had pizza. Then evening time I made burgers, but dd is not interested in food at the moment. I think she is definitely not 100%, but not ill enough to be off her phone and sleeping - I just wish that she would try and eat a little bit of something.
We popped out to bestie's house for a couple of hours this afternoon, just for coffee and a catch up. But now we're home, the door is locked and it's almost time to crack open the Christmas Eve box and get the kids bathed and into new jammies etc - ready for a night in front of the telly and hopefully a good night of sleep. I am tired. As usual.
I'm fairly certain that I'll be on here at some point tomorrow, but I'd like to wish every single one of you a Merry Christmas (or whatever you are celebrating). Enjoy the festivities, I know that I will. Thank you all for all of the advice, support and encouragement over the past year.

Wishing you a Happy, Peaceful Christmas CCL, and that 2019 fulfils all your wishes. ((hugs)) X
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy

  • Evening everyone, and Merry Christmas :xmassign::xmastree:
It has been a lovely day. The relaxed and not stressed feeling has continued, to the point where my only regret is not making the move to being a single parent years ago. DD decided to text her dad this morning, ds didn't want to, but regardless he hasn't replied or attempted to contact either of them.
The kids have been pretty amazing - it was just before 6am when ds woke up and woke the rest of us as well, which is a good couple of hours later than he normally manages. Both kids seem really pleased with the gifts that they have as well (massive relief) and I don't think there's anything missing that was desperately wanted, or that either of them noticed that there were fewer gifts this year. I have also been spoilt rotten with chocolates, smellies and more gin  and feel incredibly grateful for what I have.
We went over to my sister's house late morning, ready for early Christmas Dinner, which was amazing. We've had a really good time and I'm pleased that we've managed to put the past behind us and make a fresh start. We've had a good catch up and all seems well.
I got a text from a friend of mine at work. She had asked me to make a couple of crown hats for her and her son at the beginning of the school year, to wear today as they were going to Sandringham to watch the Royal Family going to church. Well, Harry came and talked to her and her son and said what cool hats they were wearing. :D I am most pleased about this and will use this as my claim to fame for the rest of my life now. :rotfl:
We're back home now and I'm pleasantly full of Christmas Dinner, mulled wine and good company. Now it's time to relax a bit and look forward to an early night.
Merry Christmas again - I hope you have all had a fantastic day :xmastree: :rudolf:
