Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 3 - A New Beginning

How frustrating for you - and expensive0

Things have moved forward though, it is all mapping out a trail of his behaviour for the law to follow, and that you are following the rules and engaging with the process.
I know it is all financials now, but when you divide the cost of your divorce by the amount of years left to you, and then by 365, when it is all sorted, it will work out to less than a £1 a day.
Hugs, glad it was not majorly majorly stressful.

You literally could not make this stuff up.
Phone call 1030 last night. Just for information - ex has absconded from hospital, the police are out looking for him and if I hear anything could I let them know.
I might write a book about this experience. It might cover some of my expenses (where the !!!! is that eyeroll smiley). Not giving up

Hey CCL. Sorry to hear that it's dragging on. The cost of it all is the salt in the wound, too. But despite the snails pace, it has progressed slightly. It may be hard to see it just now but there will be a point when this is all over, so keep on keeping on.
Take care0 -
Ooooh can we help with the title?
In the twilight (or twiglet) universe of f0xh0le-land, DH has just been asked to write the blurb for the back of a (rival) author's book. I will garner tips from him. - I hope we will all be invited to the book launch?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Definitely need some help with the title because the working title is FML :rotfl: :rotfl:
There is further progress. Ex was found in a pub owned by a well known chain that rhymes with Deverspoon, intoxicated, and returned to the hospital by the police. Upon further assessment, his psychiatrist has decided that keeping him in an acute facility will not help him at all with his diagnosis. He is not depressed - he has alcohol dependence and a personality disorder. I'm pleased someone has finally recognised that.
Anyway, long story short he is being discharged today with a taxi and train ticket to get himself back to his 'home' (if that still even exists). I have been informed as his 'next of kin' and 'mother of his children' but have been told in no uncertain terms that this really is time for him to make the decision, and it will be a long and painful road, and that I am in no way responsible for him or what happens next. I need to talk this over with the kids later so they can get a hang on what is going on. Somehow I am still not hopeful that he will sort himself out. But still not my problem. Not giving up

*hugs* that you still keep getting dragged into it.
any chance the psychiatrist would write a letter supporting that for the file to stop any further delays?
well done on getting through yesterday & well done on going for the costs to be added, it can't hurt to try as you have done all you can to deal with it all in a timely cost effective manner and its someone else whos meaning that isn't done.
as you say not your problem, i'm thinking strong thoughts for you and the kids xx- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
Had the chat with the kids. I think it went well - they both seem a bit nonplussed by the whole thing.
I, on the other hand, am beside myself with incredible paranoia about him turning up here. You never know what someone who is desperate, with nothing left to lose will do. And he really doesn't have anything any more. No job, no family, no money and nobody to look after him. I just keep thinking !!!!!! is going to happen next? Not giving up

And I'm knackered and desperate for an early night but my brain is having none of it at all.
I've been home from work for less than an hour and have only just sat down. Can't be bothered with dinner, and definitely can't be bothered with any more work tonight. Not giving up

But if he does turn up, you just call the police. They will deal with him for you.
Really hope you are able to switch off a little. Please eat something, if only a carrot/apple/nana...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
