Thankyou so much for the birthday wishes. It has been a pretty quiet one, and not that different from a regular Sunday to be honest. I really missed my lost hour in bed and felt very tired when I woke up, but the cats wouldn't wait any longer for their breakfast so I had to get up.
Opened the cards I'd been given - some money from my dad and a lovely bottle of fizz from bestie. The kids came down just about 10 minutes before I had to go tutoring, by which time I'd washed dishes, changed cat trays, hoovered round, put the rubbish out and was enjoying a quick cuppa. They had gotten me loads of lovely stuff - a blanket in my favourite colour, some chocolates, a bottle of gin, socks, a keyring and some beautiful cards. I feel very spoilt, and it's a world of difference from past years now dd is a bit older and ex is gone - and its lovely to be appreciated.
Went to my mam's after my tutoring session for a big lunch with her and my sister and kids. It was lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my family. My mam gave me money and my sister got me some lovely hand painted wine glasses, with giraffes on  I'm going to put the money towards our holiday and pay that off sooner rather than later.
I've done literally nothing work related and have had a good weekend off. Fresh start tomorrow with finances, diet, work and anything else that needs a fresh start.
    Five more get ups. :j

Happy birthday CCL and of course, happy mothers day to you, too. You fully deserve to feel spoiled and I'm glad you had nice day.

I'm joining you on a fresh start for April too. How many NSD's are you aiming for?

I'm going for 12 nsd's Speky. Hopefully more but it is the Easter holidays and they tend to lend themselves to spending money no matter what I do...
Day 1 went pretty much as planned. I was mad busy at work all day - full teaching day on a Monday and the exams are starting to loom large on the horizon... plus everyone is utterly exhausted waiting for the hols to tick round. Left as early as I could this afternoon as dd had picked up her cousin from school and I wanted to get home so she wasn't on her own too long. Then went with my sister to look at a house, before heading out with the kids for dinner. It was a planned, belated birthday meal - without having to do battle with the Mother's Day crowds yesterday. I had a voucher so it was as mse as it could be, and we ordered from the set menu as well. No desserts as we were so full after the mains.
Just relaxing a bit before getting an early night tonight. I am tired and needing a decent sleep. Still sticking with the 3 things on a list list plus the ever growing list of frogs. A couple of things are becoming urgent so they will need to be on there tomorrow and well and truly eaten by lunchtime. That budget needs to go into my solicitor, and I have an exam paper to write that won't wait much longer...
Other fresh start stuff going ok - didn't lose my temper at work, ate well and haven't allowed ds to talk me into spending money I don't have. It's all good :D

    Happy Belated Birthday CCL! :)
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭
