Well. Another day full of busy. I was momentarily at work with about 20 minutes with nothing to do earlier on, but that is a distant memory now. Was late out of work this evening when a load of rubbish was piled onto me last minute - I had just been desperate for an early finish and a relaxing evening after running about on Parents Evening/Dentist on Monday, then being out tutoring and for dinner yesterday.
Got in at 5.15pm to a letter from the solicitor. I have a court date in May. This is a relief and absolutely terrifying in equal measures. I have been sent a 20+ page financial form I need to fill in with every detail of everything I've ever done, including a years worth of bank statements, income, mortgage details, pension info, debt stuff, insurance policies etc. I've spent over 2 hours so far this evening getting as much done as I can but am still going to need a lengthy (and expensive) appointment with my solicitor to get it all filled in. I have a fairly tight deadline to get it all finished so I'll go sooner rather than later. I cannot even begin to imagine what must be going through ex's mind because it's stressful enough to me trying to fill that in. I have a bit of guilt, but he should have signed the blimming paperwork 6 months ago - then we wouldn't be in this situation. I haven't decided how I feel about it - I just know that I'm tired tonight and desperate for a rest. There needs to be an end in sight for me, and that's good, but it's time consuming, and expensive, and stressful to get to that point.
I haven't managed to get anything else done this evening. Printing stuff, filling in forms and finding paperwork takes for ever. Trying to focus on the long term goals...

Hi, would an outside agency (possibly citizens advice) be able to help you with your paperwork? Then you might not need such a long appointment with your solicitor.

    Evening :hello:
Another day, another late finish. I had a rotten sleep last night - late getting to sleep, woken by a cat knocking a load of stuff out of the cupboard, woken by ds being up and about then my mam sent me a text early doors... so I've been tired all day.
Got out of work on time and came home, but then had to go straight back out to pick up a parcel - dd had ordered a new headboard for her bed. Then I had to fit it of course so it's yet another evening when it gets to 8pm and I'm still working. Ah well... It is Friday tomorrow.
I've done the last bit of the form that I can, and have made an appointment with my solicitor for next week. There's still quite a bit to go but I have everything that I can for now.
Nothing else to report here - just been so busy and when I'm tired I can get a bit irrational... so I'm determined to sit down and relax, and hopefully get an early night.

    Hello
Well I've finally managed a bit of quality time in my life :j Came straight home from work last night, and my sister came round for the evening. Nothing special - just a catch up and a couple of drinks. It's been really lovely getting closer to her again - a shame it took so long for us to sort things out, but I'm glad that we have. She's an amazing woman. Plus, I won Cards Against Humanity for the first time ever :rotfl:
Cats woke me up early this morning, so I fed them early and then went back to sleep for a couple of hours. It was so nice just to lie for a bit and not have to dash about. I went to tutoring, and then straight to bestie's house for lunch and another catch up. Spending time with people is just good for the soul. :D I love my weekly catch ups, and missed last week with my being away.
I still have quite a bit of work to do over the weekend - a couple of sets of test papers to mark, and a bit of reading because some of my A-level redox chemistry is very rusty indeed, and that is no good for my tutee. The basic housework is done, litter trays are cleaned and washing is ongoing. Other than that I'm just waiting for Mr S to arrive with the weekly shop and I'm good to go.
On the mse front, I have 6 past-their-best bananas which I plan on making into banana bread, with chocolate chips if I can find any. I've kept the weekly shop below £60 but loads of stuff in the fridge and freezer needing used - most of what I spent is for the kids who are way more fussy about what they eat than I am.
I have no money left this month, or should I say spare money. I do have some left, but it's all going towards debt or holiday. I'm using my very limited spare time to continue stash busting with my wool, and I have also decided to learn Bulgarian via a free app so that I feel less ignorant going to a foreign place and not being able to speak a word of the language. I have already picked up a few of the basics and am quite proud of myself...
Now, for the rest of tonight I think I might have a sneaky G&T and put my feet up in front of the telly. As soon as Mr S has been.

Lovely positive post, CCL. Impressed that you are getting a bit of Bulgarian ready for your trip on top of everything else you've got going on x
