Thank you all. Milk and chicken goujons are in the freezer, along with some carrot ribbons I made although I am determined I will use the courgettes up tomorrow. I've had a good look through the food cupboards, and I really need to get a use-up box on the go again - there are some weird ingredients in there. Coconut flour for a start...
I didn't get loads else done today - finished a blanket I've been working on and finally sewed together a crochet toy. I was psyching myself up to ring a solicitor but ended up ringing my husband to try and encourage him to make a move from my dad's house. Did the little housework jobs and thought about what I'm going to teach next week but didn't actually do anything :o.
Picked ds up from school and took him to his swimming lesson, then home, dinner and a night in front of the telly with dd. So for the first time in forever, today has been a nsd. Just need about another 20 of those to get me through the month in one piece.:p

    Good morning everyone :coffee:
It's amazing how much difference the nice weather makes isn't it? I'm going out with bestie and our kids to spend the morning at the park. We're packing a picnic so as not to go wild on spends.
Other than that, I feel as though I might be brave enough to try and make my own pizza dough today. We shall see. I found flour and yeast in the cupboard so it would be rude not to. However, if I end up being out and about all day then I may rethink that.
If I do end up spending then I'll make sure that I do my weekly shop today so that I can minimise spending for the rest of the week. We really don't need very much so I'm ambitiously hoping to spend less than £20.
I was up early this morning so my planning for next week is done and I feel just about ready to go back to work now.
Have a good day everyone.

    * going to a free festival in town today - will catch the bus so no parking fees and we can have a couple of pints
    * sow some seeds
    * start packing for holiday next week :j
    * sew bodice of dress I've been making and then dye burgundy :D
    * game and wine with oh tonight? Hopefully....

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone-i hope everyone is having a good one:T

We have lovely weather, not too hot compared to some parts of the country today but with the breeze it is just nice.

    Bitty day today.
Went out to Mr Morries first thing to get cat items, u have to get there early on a Saturday as it gets busy really quickly.
Decided to give the bathroom a good clean and ended up painting. Even though I try to be careful I still ended up with paint all over me and in my hair which isnt great when I have a christening tomorrow:D:eek:
Still need to do the cleaning, I think I spent more time cleaning myself up:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Then popped back out this afternoon to get a couple of bits I needed. Going at certain times means that I can park close which is great for me as I can't wheel far.
Picked up a small chips while out as I couldn't be bothered cooking-this will come out of my food treat budget
    Cat cleaning all done
    Dishwasher on a quick wash
I have decided to concentrate on operation decorating the living room. It's taking time as I'm saving up to get it done and i have to pay someone to come in. Wick#s are running one of their bank holiday specials so I bought all my paint ready on a buy one get one free. Hunted around just in case I could get the paint cheaper and i went through a cashback site so a bit of a spendy day.

Think that is about it from me, cant think of anything else, have a great evening everyone x

    Morning all :hello:

I love how sunshine is good for the soul :D we've had breakfast outside, dd had last of the yes croissants. Other things:
Washing done over night pegged out
Spend some time in the garden, tidy up, plant some rocket and our last tomato plant and our potatoes
Have some sweet pea seeds which are probably a bit late but will so them as well for a bit of colour. Need a few plants and some compost for hanging baskets but not attempting the garden centre today
Have promised the girls they can have the bouncy castle up later, will text a friend and see if she wants to being her two round
Have kneaded a sourdough and it's proving
Want to get in the spare room and do some sorting, had a massive blitz on the lounge and dining room yesterday as we need to bring a piece of furniture down from the spare room but downstairs needed to be sorted first
Hoping I can find some stuff to sell in the spare room (my fleabay box is in there somewhere!!
Must then obviously try and list said stuff :rotfl:
May try and attack the garage too, could do with bringing loads of stuff out, sorting it and then only putting back what we need to keep. There will be a tip run in there I'm sure.

Right, off to start attacking things. Enjoy the sunshine everyone. Purps.

    Morning all :coffee:
I had a lovely day out and about yesterday, with bestie and our sons. We spent a good few hours in the park, walking, relaxing and having a good catch up, while the boys burned off a load of energy on their scooters. I definitely caught the sun, and I slept like a log last night so that must have been good.
Managed my weekly shop - less than £20 was way more ambitious than the reality. It was, just over £38 but my food week ahead is planned. Other than that - no spends yesterday.
Plans for today were made weeks ago - it's my mam's birthday tomorrow so me and my sister are taking her out for afternoon tea. I'm looking forward to it but £££ :o I'm going to do some tutoring to help cover the cost of it though so that will help.
Have a good day everyone, and enjoy the sunny days.

    Morning folks

I'm still catching up with the thread so my apologies if I missed anything.

Been a busy couple of days out in the sunshine. The meal out wasn't as bad as expected. BIL didn't eat and drink as much as usual and it was £50 per couple. Am happy with that :)

Been out in the garden and unfortunately had to replace the thyme and oregano which both didn't survive the winter. Managed to find the thyme for 99p reduced though and bought a hebe and something that looks like a wallflower that began with E (both reduced).

Happy days, my freecycler came and took the glass! And another one is lined up today to take a jigsaw :) I intend to freecycle the things one at a time and get rid!

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Put loaf on - done
    • Cook butternut squash and feta pie. Pastry case already made and in the fridge. - decided to do this in the morning
    • Water garden - done. blimmin snail has eaten my basil seedlings :(
    • Early morning jaunt into garden. Salted several slugs. Launched a large snail over the back fence. - done
    • Run at lunchtime - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Reconcile budget sheet
    • No alcohol - done
    • List another thing on Freecycle
    • Ordered yarn for commission while it's on sale - done
    Have a lovely day all

Carrie - your plant is a perennial wallflower Erysimum & most likely a variety called 'Bowles Mauve'. It will flower most of the year & grow to about 18ins x 18ins. They usually deteriate & get a bit leggy after a few years. You can take cuttings - they 'take' very quickly.
