Thank you Karmacat!
Our overpayments have been a little slower than before this year so far, mainly because of lots of dentist bills and etsy being a little slow (or really: Me not having done anything on my shop in the last 3 months, whoops! Time really flies). It's still really great progress though. We've also found an area of Hove that we like and can will actually be able to afford a house in, so a move is possibly on the cards for next summer. It's been fun exploring different areas of the city though, some more than others of course.1 -
Hi everyone!
It's been a little over a month since my last update, and a lot has happened. Among other things:
- My 3 year forum anniversary, and 3 years since we started overpaying our mortgage, yay!
- As of this month, we're 11 years ahead on our mortgage
- I managed to break my ankle on not-so-good-Friday (so 1st April), ouch! It's getting better slowly but surely, and I'm now allowed to walk short distances without a special boot again. Have been more or less trapped at home the last few weeks, but I suppose lock down has given me some practice in that anyway. I just miss the morning walks in the park, I wonder when I'll be able to start those again.
- Because full time work and running an etsy shop weren't enough of a commitment already, I started an Interior design Course as wellIt's been really enjoyable so far, I've learned some technical drawing and CAD skills already, and am putting a fair bit of my free time into that at the moment. Might turn into a side gig at some point, but I'm mainly doing it out of interest at the moment (it's not cheap, but I figured 8 years after finishing my Master's was a good time to learn something new again for once).
So, what have I missed?
Happy bank holiday weekend!3 -
