Brilliant news, julicorn - gives you so much more security in your home, and I love that you're embracing your creativity with the sourdough even more :)

    Thank you Karmacat!
Our overpayments have been a little slower than before this year so far, mainly because of lots of dentist bills and etsy being a little slow (or really: Me not having done anything on my shop in the last 3 months, whoops! Time really flies). It's still really great progress though. We've also found an area of Hove that we like and can will actually be able to afford a house in, so a move is possibly on the cards for next summer. It's been fun exploring different areas of the city though, some more than others of course.

    Hi everyone!
It's been a little over a month since my last update, and a lot has happened. Among other things:

    - My 3 year forum anniversary, and 3 years since we started overpaying our mortgage, yay!
    - As of this month, we're 11 years ahead on our mortgage
    - I managed to break my ankle on not-so-good-Friday (so 1st April), ouch! It's getting better slowly but surely, and I'm now allowed to walk short distances without a special boot again. Have been more or less trapped at home the last few weeks, but I suppose lock down has given me some practice in that anyway. I just miss the morning walks in the park, I wonder when I'll be able to start those again.
    - Because full time work and running an etsy shop weren't enough of a commitment already, I started an Interior design Course as well :D It's been really enjoyable so far, I've learned some technical drawing and CAD skills already, and am putting a fair bit of my free time into that at the moment. Might turn into a side gig at some point, but I'm mainly doing it out of interest at the moment (it's not cheap, but I figured 8 years after finishing my Master's was a good time to learn something new again for once).

So, what have I missed? :D

    Happy bank holiday weekend! <3

Not too badly, thanks 😀! Should be clearing the balance of the mortgage at the end of the month!

Stay away from my diary though, it's confessions of the biscuit eaters on there at the moment....🤣

That's absolutely fantastic - have you come up with a celebration plan yet? 😀

Well I'll absolutely have to go check that out in that case ;)

Woo hoo to the good things for you, julicorn, and for south coast too, actually :)

So sorry to hear you've broken your ankle, though :( that's all you need towards the end of lockdown!  Carrying on mending is always a positive :)
