Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for a strong brolly, for lovely helpful colleagues, for dd surviving school, for sewing up the nelly bellies for a 2nd time - this time with lavender in them, for making a decision for tomorrow instead of using up precious brain time dithering, for getting my first NSD of the month.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Didn't get to boxing tonight. More work meetings! We started 2:30, didn't get back to the office til 6. I finish at 4!!
Money: know your income and outgoings. Just awaiting for this Exam cheque to come out. I hate waiting for pending payments.
Me time: Look after yourself. Revive an old hobby. Exam practice. Wednesdays are usually my day off from practice, as I go to boxing straight from work. Didn't get to do either today.
Move: Not much movement today, just walking to and around work.
Activation: What spurs you on to keep on the path? Today I listened to a marathon podcast this morning. We also received our race numbers for our upcoming half marathon. Hopefully this will spur BF on to get some training done.
Arm yourself : Whether you opt to work more or to spend less in order to achieve your goal, stand firm against the naysayers. No spends today, and another couple of extra hours at work. I suspect I'll be late out friday too. Looking forward to my wage slip next week!
Planned spends this month - £20 tattoo deposit.

You. Appreciate what you have. Be grateful. Today I am grateful I popped the slow cooker on this afternoon on my break. I'm also grateful for puppy snugs.

We did say that! :rotfl: However, it's an awkward loo for a reason - the first couple of loos the plumber ordered didn't fit there properly.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Evening all
Grrr, just writing a post and it disappeared
Realised I haven't set budgets for this month - well I have, but not on here! So here goes:
Groceries: £225 (down from £250 last month as I didn't use all the budget :A I am trying to run down the freeers so I can defrost them and make space for HG produce later on, and intend to continue with this throughout May)
Toiletries and cleaning: £30 (went over last month, will try not to for this one!)
Fuel: £100 (I have increased this one, as we went way over in April )
Presents: No budget needed this month as the relentless round of family birthdays is over for now. Now watch something unexpected come up :rotfl:
Pet food / supplies: £15 - again, I didn't use all the budget last month so have reduced it for May - don't worry, he won't starve! This is for 1 very small dog
I have budgets for other things, but these are the ones that are easiest to track on here. My trusty spreadsheet helps me keep track of all of them! Along with my spending diary to note down spends as they occur so that nothing gets forgotten0 -
So, a spend dayfor me today, and the budgets look like this:
Groceries: £13.44 / £225
Toiletries and cleaning £2.50 / £30 (had to buy dishwasher salt)
Fuel £0 / £100
Presents £0 / £0
Pet Food / supplies £1.10 /£15 (needed poo bags)
Also bought items from the local food bank's wish list to the value of £5.80 as my charity contribution
It will be a spend day again tomorrow as it is market day, and I like to buy my veg and fruit from there as far as possible, as a) it is cheaper, and b) it avoids lots of plastic packaging
So NSDs are currently 1 / 19. I must confess I don't worry unduly about these0
