If you can't - then this one was for you.
Was there for 30 mins, in /out job done and a free cuppa and a biscuit.
So no further stripping progress was made.
Today is eye test and stripping.

Good morning all-
Today is another NSD although I need to hold my hands up & admit I have no idea how many I am on.
I went through my freezer last night and arranged it all into date order (how sad) so I now have a drawer of things I need to use. I want to make sure I am not wasting money by not getting to stuff in time. although to be honest, things tend to stay in my freezer indefinitely until they have been used. :rotfl:
Meeting at work today to discuss putting my hours up in a few months time, hoping it goes well- we could really do with the extra income for our mortgage application. in 9 million years when I have the money for a deposit. Everything is on plan for us to have 20k by the end of next year so I just need to get the last few things in order & one of those things is getting my income up!
hope you all have a lovely day0 -
Thank you f0xholes, I'm not able to donate at the moment
Failed budgets are:
Groceries: 212.61/200
Personal: 11.50/23.45
Diesel: 93.77/30
NSDs: 13/19
I filled my car up as our local garage on Sunday is closing for 6 weeks and it's the cheapest place for quite a way. I needn't have bothered, as yesterday I decided to break my foot (yes, whilst 8 1/2 months pregnant...); so I'm not driving anywhere now for a long time. Grocery budgets will be shot to pieces as everything will now just be delivered, no capacity to stand and cook anything, it'll be pricey convenience foods for a while.0 -
LavanderBee you poor thing, especially in your condition, Use it as a good excuse to get your rest. My biggest regret is that I didn't relax more before my bouncing bubbas rocked up and stole all my free time0

NSD: 16/19 NSD achieved today.
Motivation: To be more mindful regarding spending. This is going to be ongoing. So far doing ok.
Money: The budget for each category is done.
Me time: Read some of a book, wordsearch, mindfulness colouring and watching a couple episodes of Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett.
Move: Did not do this today.
Activation: To get my spending down to a reasonable amount.
Arm yourself: Will have to stand strong in my quest against consumerism and acquiring more. Still doing this.
Donation to charity: Done for the month.
Grateful for:
Having a laugh on the phone with my brother. He loves winding me up.
My details kept on file where I had my job interview today. Never got job, but at least I got interview experience and feedback.
Having a very relaxing day after I came back from interview.

Was up early, went to Icyland for food to be delivered (most of it for mum + 8 x 2l bottles of fizzy water to stop me having to lug it around), carried on to Will Co to buy a roll of the wallpaper I am using to cover boxes (on view in my bedroom), bedding plants and stakes for mum (stakes are to hold the bottom of the fence wire, not for use on mum).
Had a little splurge. I know you shouldn't buy storage. you should use what you have and get rid of as much as possible. However I have come to the end of my tether with the craft stuff and all the little bits, so I paid £6 for 12 x 280ml hexagonal glass jars and £3 for 20 x 41ml jars. I saw them online two months ago, so it is a considered purchase.
Will sort all the paperclips, drawing pins and a dozen other little fiddly bits into them. Best of all, they fit inside my sets of small drawers - each drawer is big enough to hold A4 paper flat and they are about 2" deep. I use them for all my embroidery threads and there is spare capacity (for stationery/ craft stuff/ sewing stuff). Bought little sticky labels with different colour borders so can subdivide them by category.
Also bought a birthday card mum needed.
Went home, had a bath, got dressed and had 10 minutes to get downstairs to wait for the food. Let mum know I would be there after the food had been delivered.
Painting day at mum's. I have painted stone garden edges white, then swapped to blue for 2 more edgings (going to hide the gap at the bottom of the shed), 2 pieces of wood (ditto), one planter, one basket, one stone boot (just a touch up), one manhole cover and one plastic chair.
Hurt all over and came home because I had no painkillers or my teatime pills. Lovely taxis kept me waiting - I was standing on the pavement for so long that one of the neighbours from the cul de sac came to ask if I was all right.
Safely home now. Planning an early night as I am taking mum to an appointment tomorrow (11.30 not crack of dawn) and I have never been to this particular hospital.
Today I am grateful for lovely weather, helpful shop assisstants, the benches in the town centre and on the Town Hall square, hot baths and showers, grab rails in showers, that the end of the painting is in sight (but Church summer fair and cake making due to start), for finding things to fill a need and my bed.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Whoops! Been missing for a few days. Sorry guys.
Pup had an unexpected trip to the vet on friday. BF came home from the AM walkies and called me downstairs. Duncan had a wound on his side, BF isn't sure what happened as he didn't yelp.
He was playing rough with his doggy pal, so possibly got caught with a tooth or claw, or he caught a stone rolling in the grass for his ball.
He didn't seem bothered so we weren't too worried. We cleaned it up with some salt water and I popped home on my break to check on him. Booked him into the vets in the afternoon and £57.77 later came away with some antibotics, just in case of infections.
I thought it may need a stitch or two, but vet thought it was clean enough and would heal up okay. He was more bothered by the shave she gave him.
A friend commented on FB that the vets were "robbing bar-stewards", but if you can't afford £60 to take your dog to the vet, you shouldn't have pets
Plus I don't have 4-6 years of vet schooling, so happy to pay for an experts opinion!
Money: know your income and outgoings. Still going well, despite the hiccup. I also had to buy myself new headphones, as I ran over mine with my chair in work. Wheeled back and heard a 'crunch'. Was a sad moment.
Also treated myself to a new running bra (shock absorbers-brilliant for the larger endowed ladies) as my old ones are getting very tatty and worn.

Me time: Look after yourself. Revive an old hobby. Exam practice. Had my exam date posted to me. Taking into consideration weds (when I can't practice) and a weekend away, I have 31 days to practice. Getting scary.
Move: Did a half marathon on Sunday, some silly woman drove through the road closures and into the path of the race. Shes gone viral and has been on the local and BBC news. I'm now on my rest week from running. I do have boxing tomorrow and a PT session on Thursday.
Activation: What spurs you on to keep on the path? Been listening to more health related podcasts.
Arm yourself : Whether you opt to work more or to spend less in order to achieve your goal, stand firm against the naysayers. Been chipping away slowly with the surveys, also had extra 30 mins wages for last week.
Planned spends this month - £20 tattoo deposit. £27 T-shirts for Granmas birthday.

You. Appreciate what you have. Be grateful. Today I am grateful the new recipe turned out very yummy.
A simple italian chicken bake (chicken, smothered in pesto, sliced tomatos and mozzerella layered on top, oven 35-40 mins). Definately adding that one to the book.

Minimalism: Day TwentyTwo - 22 items. Slacking with this a little. I've added 50 unused hangers to the charity pile (I discovered them in a suitcase, so they've been in there since the move in sept). But I'm 47 items behind to bring me up to date. I'll have a zip around on Thursday (my day off) and see if there is anything I can add. I'm also going to drop what I have already collected to the charity shop.
I think I've squeezed out as much as I can for the moment, so I may end the game soon. 186 items have been declutted so far however!

Evening all
I am going to have to cheer from the sidelines for the rest of the month, as I have just returned from an unexpected 8 days in hospital - OH has been in charge and the budgets are all over the place  Between the receipts he kept and the bank statement I have been able to piece together more or less the total spends, but in most cases not the correct categories, so there will be a lot of spending on 'Other / everything else' this month :rotfl:
Doesn't really matter as we are not in debt and have savings, but now I am back, although on light duties only, we will return to the straight and narrow!:rotfl:
I will still count NSDs (none managed while in hospital, as though I didn't spend, OH did) and will read along, but will have to wish you all the best and hope to 'see' you all again in June0 -

We do, and it's brilliant, you can book (so not sitting on the phone waiting when it's busy) and track the car when it's dispatched. Our app also allows you to pay with your bank card, so no need to carry cash.
May be worth seeing if your company has something similar?

Take it gently, DawnW. And you too LavenderBee.
Mothernerd, those storage jars sound brilliant.
Laurenh - hope the extra hours get agreed.
Kerry Woman - sorry you didn't get the job. Have you other temping work lined up, or are you staying put for a bit longer?
Today I am grateful for my counsellor, for striding up the big hill (have done 61 floors today, according to my fitbit), for my kettlebell workout, for mowing the front, for dd enjoying school + kids klub + brownies, for persevering with my marking, for line-dried washing, for chicken drumsticks roasted in sweet chili sauce, for a good chat with big sis.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
