TSB to increase classic plus rate to 5%

Trying to find official confirmation, but the guardian is saying as a result of the recent problems, the rate is going up to 5%

The 5% on my Flexdirect ends at the start of May, so this is wonderful news. :beer:

Be nice if they put the max back up to £2000 again as well.

I knew they would look after us. However I would appreciate it if they could raise the threshold from the £1500 limit.

Yup. A lot of damage limitation for TSB for a bit here. Will be about placating current customers, rather than trying to get new ones - who will understandably be a bit cautious about opening an account right now.

Feel for them really. They've been a good bank for me. Never had a problem up to now. My money is safe so all good.
