buyers no longer leaving feedback

I generally only buy on ebay and I never leave feedback anymore, years ago when you could only really pay by cheque I did as it was such a dodgy way of buying from a stranger you never knew if you could trust someone to send you something and you have no comeback if they didn't, but now with paypal buyer protection I don't even bother looking at sellers feedback before I purchase, it means nothing to me, as far as I'm concerned, I'll buy based on the description of the item and if I don't get it or it doesn't match the description I know I can get my money back so the feedback thing is irrelevant and an unnecessary thing.
Its the same with amazon and other sites, if i get emails asking me to rate my purchase etc, I just delete, the very fact I haven't complained about a purchase should be enough to realise that I'm happy!Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
There's something wrong with Ebay
It says there's 2 awaiting feedback though I have already done it!
I GET It looks like you already left Feedback or you waited longer than our policy allows. IF TRY AGAIN (purchases 9/4 and 20/4 2018)0 -
I wait about 6 weeks and if the buyer hasn't left feedback I leave feedback for them saying "As I heard nothing and received no feedback, I'm assuming the transaction was ok".0

Out of interest why? If you don't want to leave feedback for a buyer, just don't bother.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just worked it out and I guess we're not doing too badly, as 58% of our buyers do leave feedback. I do wish eBay would make sure their stuff actually works, because prompting a buyer to leave feedback and then the feedback screen not working is bound to annoy people! As a seller I never, ever send feedback reminders or demand feedback. I do leave nice feedback for buyers, and on the odd occasion where I don't have anything nice to say I don't say anything at all.
I absolutely hate the star rating things. Ebay rates sellers as if it's a school report, with everything less than 5* being "could try harder", whereas some buyers do as unforeseen does and treat anything over 3 as going above and beyond what was originally promised. And frankly who can even be bothered to rate each separate part of every transaction on eBay out of 5? If you buy a lot, it's a real pain!Well informed on the subjects of sofas and wood furniture, and well opinionated on everything else :rotfl:0 -

I used to be able to leave feedback for 20+ transactions in a single screen - text boxes for a number of transactions visible at the same time, enter feedback in all of them, click "leave feedback" - all saved.
A couple of months ago, it changed - I now have to leave feedback for one transaction at a time - enter feedback, save, wait for page to refresh, repeat.
I now only leave feedback for a particularly good experience (or potentially for a particularly bad one though that hasn't happened yet) - I don't have the patience to leave feedback for everything with the new system!
Yes the new interface is awful! it takes ages to refresh and sits there flashing until it display the next one on the page for you. i do about 10 and give up then, as you have to manually close all the "thanks you" messages for the ones you've already done, as that slows down the page even more! You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
It frustrates me when buyers do not leave feedback, but I never ever chase/ask for it.
As a seller, I only leave feedback for buyers after they leave it for me as I used to leave it immediately as I dispatched the item, and then I'd get the spurious INR/SNAD come in and wish I hadn't left them feedback at all. Clearly, I never leave false positives...I just report bad buyers and leave no feedback.0 -
I've been a buyer for the last 10 years and have a couple of thousand positives on my buying account. I Always left appropriate feedback until a couple of months ago, Ebay changed the style of the leave feedback page and made it much harder to use, especially for multiple items. After several failed attempts to leave feedback, I gave up and stopped trying to leave it for anyone. about 80 sellers have not received any from me since the system changed.
Ebay seem to be trying to make everything harder at the moment, especially the extra effort to 'See more details' instead of showing all details when the listing is opened.0 -

Then you’d never get feedback from me!
As the buyer, once I’ve paid I have completed my half of the transaction. Feedback should then be left for me at the same time as “marked as dispatched”. Once the item is received, and provided the seller has left me feedback, I’ll leave the seller feeeback.0 -
From a buyer's perspective, feedback has turned into a bit of a faff - did it arrive within N days, rate the number of stars, and so-on.0
