The German government has ordered car maker Daimler to recall 238,000 vehicles in Germany after they were found to be fitted with unauthorised emissions defeat devices.
The UK Government on the otherhand are spineless and do not want to loose votes.
They are hoping local councils will bring in new rules, and get the blame.

As far as I am aware, only 50% of a manufactuers cars are required to meet the standards; the EURO 6 standard is an average - by manufactuerer.
The big HGVs and lorries obviously emit bore Nox, as do the big engined cars.
So a 1.4 deisel would be well under the test standard, but a 2/3 ltr SUV would be way over.0
