to the shock of no one CEO blames customers for IT failure
update: and the wording on TSB website about when the service will come back online has now changed from later this afternoon to *whenever we feel like it lol
* my interpretation0 -
Sorry if this has already been answered but does anyone know if DDs will still be paid? There!!!8217;s money in the account to cover them.0

So the reason that most of my credit card statements have disappeared and the 2 that are listed are not accessible is the customer's fault for overusing the system.
https://www.theguardian.com/business/live/2018/apr/24/tsb-online-banking-troubles-uk-public-finances-business-liveHe says that the vast majority of TSB's services have been running smoothly since last weekend@s IT migration.Pester says that TSB's website app struggled with a "large number of concurrent users", who tried to access their accounts on Sunday evening once the migration process was over.
We didn't have enough bandwidth to cope, he says - so we're addressing that problem now.Pester says there was "extensive testing", with nine cycles of testing before the bank took the plunge. It's very hard to recreate how customers are going to use the platform. he says.0 -

I think they would be paid but i wouldn't say i'm 100% confident in giving that statement.
if theres enough money in the account TSB will have some serious compensation to pay out if they don't get paid.0 -

Nobody was blaming customers. You've just made that up.older_wiser wrote: »For others who commented on 1st world problems regarding me trying to access my account using an iphone x or ipad i have one word for you codswallop pure and simple and i'll leave it at that.
It is a first world problem. Nothing has changed in that regard.0 -
Now reports of cards being declined.0

I disagree. It's a number of breeches. The whole system is pants.0 -
I have two current accounts and a regular saver (mine is paying 3%, the rate has now dropped to 2%). I will stay with them despite this fiasco. £3K instant access at 3% is probably no longer possible anywhere else.Shakin_Steve wrote: »Except Tesco's current accounts.
Tesco doesn't work for me. You need three DDs.
And when I tried getting interest from Tesco it failed half the time because one of my DDs was due around my account month end, and the variable date meant I didn't always have 3DDs in an account month.
TSB is great for savings. No DDs needed, and the funding requirement can be satisfied by two STOs moving the same amount between the two accounts in the same day.0 -
Sometime this century TSB's website will work. How many customers will they lose?0

3. No, 172. No, 1054..... Who knows?
I suspect that there won't be that many, to be honest. Once the dust has settled many will decide it is of little advantage to switch accounts. Anyone receiving 3% on £1,500 is also unlikely to move away any time soon. Certainly some people will cut of their noses to spite their faces, but I doubt there will be all that many.
The bigger issue for TSB will be in attracting new customers, rather than retaining their existing one.s0
