TSB planned outage

I made a TSB visa debit card transaction over the phone yesterday providing them with my 16digit card no. Just would like to know if that would have gone through, without having to call them?0

One has to ask why they didn't pay Lloyds for a copy of their own system, instead of moving everything to a new system.
Lloyds were already price gouging them the "small" sum of £214m for the delay in implementing their own system.
So I'd say one of the main drivers for TSB to get the new system in and running ASAP (with possibly less testing that might have been wise) was the huge sum Lloyds was demanding to keep using their facilities on a month by month basis.0 -
I still cannot access mine. Fortunately I have other accounts. I check my accounts every day, some times just to check the balance. (and check no unexpected transactions) Other days it will be to make transfers. I don't have all my direct debits go out from other accounts on the same day. Hence on different days different amounts are transferred. I don't have standing orders for these amounts as they are transferred the day before and with a standing order a weekend can cause this to happen the same day. I have not yet tried ringing, I may tomorrow if still no access.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Apologies if this has already been answered and I have missed it, but has anyone been able to withdraw cash at ATMs or branch today? The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

I havent, but cards will (should?) work so I dont think you will have a problem.
Thank you, about to go on holiday, will need cash, fuel etc tomorrow. Hoping that regular funds go in after midnight tonight as usual. Do have funds elsewhere that can only be withdrawn at a branch as a backstop though.:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Don't bank online. Simple. Life was easier when it didn't exist.0

I believe they migrated all of their products onto their own IT intrastructure in one fell swoop?
So not just current accounts, but savings products, loans, investments credit cards etc.
All of which in all likelihood sat on their own individual IT platforms within the Lloyds world.
Sounds like a monumental undertaking to me!0 -

I can get into my account but I can't transfer any money. I kept getting an error message and, when I finally got past that, my saved payees have disappeared.0
