For sure q_b. I watched the TV programme about the "happyslapping" with my 14 year old daughter and was quite annoyed with her as she seemed to find it quite amusing.

A discussion followed, needless to say, where I asked her how would she feel if it happened to her or her friends and the flip reply was it didn't happen "up here".

Two days later she came home from school quite distressed to find that it was/is beginning to happen "up here" and IMO the TV programme has a lot to answer for bringing it to the kids attention as being a smart thing to be doing.

For sure, especially when you hear it in the supermarket, turn round and then realise you don't even have your own kids/children/little people/brats etc etc with you :rotfl:

'Kids' are OK, providing they are preceded by: 'Honey I Shrunk The'

Okay - I'll add one more (allthough it'll make me unpopular I know!)

I HATE IT when women - especially on chat forums like this one use the word Hubby.

    Are you English?
    The word is husband.

People don't talk like that in real life (unless they have some sort of affliction), so why type it and make everyone read it? It's only 2 more letters, so it can't be through laziness that you shorten it? When I read it, I can't help seeing cyber-red.

I know that something so little shouldn't infuriate me so much, but really, do you know how annoying you are being?

It's how people speak in real life, in the plaground at school if I asked someone what they were doing at weekend they would probably say "going to the park with hubby and the kids" rather than "my husband and I are taking the children to the park"......unless they were particularly snotty ;)
