That went well.
He messaged to say that he's stayed in his cabin watching telly all the time.
He got told that's ridiculous, ungrateful for the opportunity he's been given and he needs to get off his backside and do more than he does all day at home.
I can't imagine him contacting me again.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
~One poorly bunny taken to vets, injected with anti-bs and something else and I have medicine and critical care 'soup' to get into him.
Cried in vets like a wuss.
New brakelight bulb fitted by man in shop:) Also bought special auto double sided tape to refit door trim. Door trim fitted.
Washing brought in as it's 'spitting'.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
(((Hugs))) Valli, and *healing vibes* for poorly bunny. I know how upsetting them being unwell can be and I've been known to cry at the vets, too.
Everyone's good wishes paid off, so thank you thank you thank you. We're collecting the kittens tomorrow morning. They will be confined to my office for a few days behind a baby gate while they settle in to the house. Sadly, that's put paid to my doing a spring clean in it next week. I'm very, very disappointed about that, obviously, because I was really looking forward to it. *snigger*
Tip run done, stuff shoved in the attic, stuff like summer clothes and cat baskets brought down from attic, sundeck sort carried on, additional fencing put up around it, two little cat igloos bought, together with a new litter tray and a box of kitten food.Better is good enough.0 -

Merely crying at the vet's? I've sobbed so much that when coming out, the lady whose little girl had asked me outside the emergency vet before the doors opened at 8am on that Saturday morning 'why have you got your cat here today?' (I'd answered she was very, very old and very, very tired so needed to see the vet to stop her feeling so bad) came up and wrapped her arms round me in a huge hug.
And now [once I've wiped my eyes - obviously hayfever, not stupid emotions from something that happened years ago] - practicalities.
It's quite a while since you've had youngsters. Be prepared for chaos - the child gate might not be enough to stop them leaping over or simply wandering through the bars, depending upon the size of the gaps. Obviously they'll be motoring up and down the stairs at a million miles a minute soon enough anyway, but you might be slightly taken aback at how explosive and [strike]destructive[/strike] energetic they are after so long with Devil Cat in his dotage. From experience, I'd liken it to a compact nuclear explosion in the house after many years of peace. You could be in shock, OH could be in shock, Kelpie could be looking slightly stunned for the next few months.
It's wonderful
I did get a message back. I'm right, apparently, but the ship is full of 'over excited Americans which is a bit much'. So he's gone and got some food (I'm willing to bet that he hadn't eaten for over 24 hours) and has been out on deck, so is feeling a bit better now. Some people need a kick up the arris to notice that the sun is shining.
Realised I need to buy a new washing up bowl and brush, as both have cracked from age, so will do that in the morning.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Enjoy, Honey Bear! I wonder which of the kittens will attach itself to OH, and which one to you?
My plan for today - yes, I know it's only 6.00 but I went to bed at 10.30 and am feeling a lot better this morning now that my head is clearing:
[STRIKE] - S&S kitchen while kettle is boiling
- drink tea while catching up with other people's flying [/STRIKE]
- write 2 emails (actually the same one twice, to different people)
- put chicken in SC
- make another cuppa
- work on essay: can I get at least another 250 words written by breakfast time? (it will take me over the first 1,000)
- church
- church AGM - boring but necessary
- late lunch/early dinner
- walk Rosie
- more work on essay - aiming to get well past the halfway point - while DH is out at his church AGM this evening
- FUPA yesterday's washing
- get large suitcase out of under-eaves loft for DH, who is off to Germany on Thursday
Hope everyone has a lovely day with some sunshine x0 -
Fell off with everything as I had some issues to deal with. We lost the youngest dog very very suddenly a few weeks ago as those on my Facebook know and it has been pretty horrendous. She just collapsed we do not know why. Still shell shocked but we are coping one day at a time. She was DS1s dog and she died in his arms being autistic he is really struggling to come to terms with it but we need to move forward and I need to kick myself into sorting our !!!! out
Not doing well on the weight front or the life front so if we are going to do this wedding thing I need to kick myself into gear
We have started this week getting up at about 5.30 every day, I have been doing stuff before I leave for work and leaving earlier which is tiring but I think I like it. Means bed early too
This morning I can not seem to change the body clock on weekend so the weeks washings just got one load left to do, dishwashers been emptied and back on. Need to sort the kitchen when I have posted this
Oh and I am on sorting the freezer for those who know me, 1.5 empty drawers is a shock and indeed an achievement for me
Going to change my GC stuff etc firstOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
lemon drizzle cake in oven. (mum's birthday today; they're coming for tea) DW run; 2 x WM on line
bunny dosed, creamed and fed. He's now in his run, cleaning off the spilled 'soup'. Managed to get more into him so he should start to be rehydrated and thus feeling a little brighter.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Lil_me.. I did post saying sorry for the loss of Leia.. Poor DS.. I know how hard losing DS3's rabbit was for him so dread to think how awful it is for your young man.. The wedding will get there .. OH clearly loves you as you are so you don't really need to change just for a wedding.
OH has cleared out the outside drains and been banished to the shower because he stinks.
I've loaded the DW
2x WM
Cleared the table and sides
DS3 has vacuumed upstairs
DS2 has been sent to the shop
DD3 has been asked to clear the hallway and is laid in her bed.. I am about to lose my cool with her and flip my bandana!
I'm just going to give everything a wipe down and then do lunch and then growl at DD3LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I went off list this week but have a clean and almost completely sorted kitchen - just the cupboard under the sink and one storage box to go
Focusing on the bathroom next week so I can then get people in for quotes on new kitchen and bathroom :j
Mum back from hols on Tues - am not looking forward to it as her memory is really not good and I can't persuade her to go to the GP. Feel guilty for saying it's been nice having a week 'off' . . . . but it has"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
