  • Hi Guys!!!!!

    I'm back home:D

The last 12 days have really dragged on!! I looked like the elephant woman with the feeding tube in, but it worked for a little bit, which was the main thing. New drugs and extra shots of steroids, chemo drugs and morphine and Im eeling a bit more perky! Have been told the recovery from this could be several months:eek:       on top of my usual stuff. What a lovely life I lead:D On TOTAL bed rest for next few weeks, so shouldnt really be on here too much, but just wanted to let you know that Im ok. Thanks for all the well wishes and thanks BargainRzl for keeping me posted.

Heard yesterday that the council have increased my hours wekly for assistance which will help OH. Have to call them tomorrow to finalise stuff and then we are off!!
Also, Stairlfit broke this morning:eek:     ....so waiting on call from Stannah.

    Hugs to everyone.

Many Thanks Pen-Pen - will pop into town tomorrow and try and find some.

Glad you're home PP - obey your docs and stay in bed. Hope they fix the stairlift asap.
  • Glad to hear you're out PP :D

I did notice your light on a few times and knew you were keeping an eye on us from afar. ;)

Make sure you follow doctors orders and rest up.

Hurrah Penny Pincher! Loads of (((hugs))) to you. So pleased to hear that you're home.

Bargain Rzl - thanks for keeping us updated on PP's progress.

Many thanks to all those wishing DH all the best for his first day in his new job. He found it quite exhausting and didn't realise how little he's got to learn in such a short amount of time! In fact, he got up early this morning to practise doing some Remote Access thing. He realises how cushy his previous job was!!! However, it wasn't going anywhere, so he did need to move on for his own sanity and career progression...

The upside was that he brought home some Gu puds for pudding last night. Our puddings are normally fruit or yoghurt... or both, but never gorgeously divine chocolate ones. However, as soon as DH turned up with them, I said "Ooooh, they have offices in Moneysaving Towers!" Needless to say, DH's eyes rolled :D.

Plans for today are to have a shower , do some supermarket shopping and make vats of spag bol and soup for the freezer. Supper tonight will be chicken stirfry.

    Take care all

    Vicky

PS I'm with TillyTrippit on the pumping. And having a slash is equivalent to a man peeing against a wall...

    Morning all,

very bright and cold here today blowing nicely though, got one lot going in the wm, and one lot to go in, should almost dry today, will just need an air tonight.
We went to matalan yesterday, got some bargains, we also went to get DD bras and knickers, when we had her measured in M + S the lady said that she must not have underwired bras untill her body had finished developing, well al the bras that she liked were sort of grown up ones with wires, she refused to try any non wired ones, and I refused to let her try the wired ones, we had a huge stand off in the middle of the shop, and ended up not getting her any
Got roast lamb for tea tonight, might do yorkshires with it as I love them, MrsMcawber, thanks for the tip re the tough beef, I have not got a food processor though, would this work in a liquidizer ?

DD and I are going to sit and make the Xmas cards this afternoon, might watch a film while we are doing it, I did offer to take her swimming this afternoon but she did not want to go, this is from a girl that used to go 4 times a week and compete in gala's for the county  must be something to do with her age

Haribo, I know exaclty what you are going through, I get this every so often
I nowhave pain killers from the DR, but keep it very warm almost to the point of hurting, and wrap a blanket round it, it may sound funny, but I found swimming was the best 'cure' for it, maybe have a hot bath, other than that you just have to wait for it to pass. Hugs xx

Hester sorry to hear about your uncle
Dogrose welcome back:j don't worry about the weight it will come off.

SamSam, My mun and dad always do the dog with human clippers it always works and the dog is always fine

    Tilly welcomeback :T

    Just a quickie
Tilly T your Ds will love it.
pony games are like those you used to see on the Xmas horse show on telly years ago. Slaloms between posts,;walk, trot and lead; all sorts of silly things. but at 5 it may be a bit difficult for her. If its a decent stables she'll be on a leading rein anyway.. Nothing wrong with picking up horse poo.. do it everyday :D . Good to let kids see the real side of life.. too many are mollycoddled and never get dirty. oops - getting onto hobby horse. so will shoot off.
    Have a good day

Morning all..............(((((((HUGS)))))))))) if you need one, and welcome back PP........

Brighter morning this morning, very cold, but I like it that way.

Woke at 5am with OH snoring on his back, no amount of shoving would shift him, so put the light on, made tea sat and read for a while, eventually he turned over so I out the light off and went back to sleep, it was after 9am before either of us woke.............

Nothing planned for today, tomorrow evening we have to collect my friend from the airport, will have to stagger through the rush hour traffic, but never mind, she phoned yesterday, we said we would meet her where she comes through arrivals, we are not leaving until 5.45pm so by the time we get there she should not be long coming through, I hope!!!! I had to change the delivery time for my Tesco order, realsied I had ordered if for 4 - 6pm tomorrow, so its now coming between 1 and 3pm. We will have to have supper at lunch time if you see what I mean, sandwiches and cake for supper when we get back.

Made an appointment to get my hair cut on Thursday, I look like a shaggy dog right now............bad timing, I like it a bit longer in the winter keeps my neck warm!!!!!

Right off for my caffine fix............see y'all later..............
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
