Hope your back feels better soon Haribo, Amie, I'm obssesive about forgeting my keys, hope you have a good time in Brighton.
I had a phone call last night from my cousin, my uncle died in his sleep, he was in his 80's & had cancer for many years.
I've woken up with a few large itchy lumps along my jaw line, stress related hives, funerals do that to me. I realise that no-one enjoys them, but my ex caused so many problems with the funerals of both my parents.
I'm babysitting DGS for a couple of hours today, maybe DD wants her kitchen cleaned again, lol.
I'm going to vacuum the hall stairs & landing today & tidy the living room, I'm also hoping to make a couple of bags. I was given a skirt in a two tone floral mustard yellow denim & it just screams 'shoulder bag' at me everytime I look at it. I've also accquired a 6mtr x 2mtr length of vivid coral pink cotton jersey that I have no idea what to do with, I keep looking at it hoping that inspiration will strike, unfortunately it's so bright, the only thing that strikes is migraine!! All suggestions warmly welcomed.
Chicken parcels with HM wedges tonight, I've got the inlaws coming for lunch on Sunday, so I'm going to do a one pot meal as the lodger will be back by then & we'll be jostling for space in the kitchen.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

morning! back from our bargain deal to majorca. have just jumped off the scales, and the diet starts here! looks like I made good use of the all inclusive :(

got a day of shopping, washing and ironing ahead before I head back to work tomorrow. had a spot of good news about money I am owed from 2004. dont know how much yet but at least its coming soon. old employer just want to confirm my bank details haven't changed since I left so the money can be sent. :)
penpen - Glasgow is the shopping capital of scotland. but if you want a bit of culture head out to the re-opened Kelvingrove galleries. they have just had a major refit, and there is some fab art work there. (my fav is a salvidor dali of christ on the cross) its a museum come art gallery. transport museum is the other side of the road - all council museums free. take the underground from centre of town.

  • Good Morning all!

Feeling a bit dodgy this morning  but don't think its anything to worry about, I often feel a bit icky in the morning. Its just annoying as I was going to go for a run and do some weights before my first client at 10.30. Oh well, I'll do some envelopes instead and maybe workout at the gym later if its quiet.

Had loads planned to do yesterday but it got totally messed up when my hairdresser turned up at 10.00! I'd forgotten the appointment so it was a good job I was home! So I then spent 2 and a half hours getting my hair done which seriously affected my to do list

Went out last night as we do every Monday to a local open mic night - stayed out far too late so on top of feeling sick I'm also shattered. Not the best start to the week but I like to look on the bright side - we had great fun last night, got up and did a couple of tunes (picked up a bit bit of a stalker fan who then kept buying us drinks!), and my hair looks nice! At least it did yesterday, right now I look like a scarecrow.:D

Left over curry from the freezer for dinner tonight as I don't get in from work till 7.30 and we want to record our bands new track tonight. We got played on local radio on Friday - fame and fortune is within our grasp! :T

Other than that, I've really got to get on with stuffing those envelopes and fit a workout in somewhere, but I'm going to take it relatively easy today if possible  . I hope everyone is well - ((((HUGS)))) to those that aren't or that just need one.

Oh yes and a question - is it ok to use normal hairclippers on a dog?

Sam How long is your dog's hair? I think dog ones are different. I have no idea. Can you tell. :D

Haribo Usually when I have a bad back I can't sit for long periods. Although I suppose you're not one to fuss. :D

Pen Pen I'm just browsing my travel diary now. :D Oh dear, I didn't get to Glasgow. Have a fun day and don't forget to tell us what you did. There might be some pig farms lurking around.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Hi everyone

Hope your back feels better soon Haribo, it's amazing how unsympathetic men are when we're not feeling great. Have been awake on and off since 4ish, when I did get back to sleep, I had a horrid dream about my Mum, will call her later and see how she's doing. Lovely day here by the sea, cold and sunny. We are out later to a local wildlife park. It won't cost a lot as I have membership, just take a picnic and £1 for my son to buy something in the shop. He's getting quite good at this. No idea what tea is. Guess I will look in my freezer and be inspired soon!

    Have a lovely day :T

    Morning All

(((Haribo))) take it easy you know you have to.

Wow Aussilass that is some big slasher. Glad you cleared that point up!!

Sam - hope you feel better soon as well.

Freezing here in Essex, heavy frost - does look nice on the fields. Cant wait for Thurs/Fri as electrician is meant to be coming to sort our timer on the boiler so hopefully will be able to wake up to a warm house.

In office this morning for a while then probably ironing. DD needs to be taken to a hospital checkup which is about an hour away so that is this afternoon taken care of. Hoping that OH will decide whats for dinner and cook it for us. (I dont menu plan in the holidays). He has also stated that he will do the hoovering for me today so I have really no excuse but to stay in the office.

OH is also taking DS to woolworths to spend some of his birthday money, have asked that they pick up Bridge to Terabithia dvd whilst there - lovely film - think might light the fire and watch that tonight.

Best be off now and check online banking.

    Have a great day.

Oh nearly forgot - used my new stove top expresso maker last night to make Mocha coffee - very nice but I used cadburys drinking chocolate and then remember that I dont like it - can anyone recommend a nice one?
    Many Thanks
