Good morning!!
Aussie I knew you'd be in trouble over *slashers* and I knew the alternative meaning:rotfl:Did you not think to offer them a lettuce each to go somewhere else:rotfl:
(and I knew what you meant!!!)
Haribo, sorry to hear about your back pain. You'll just have to give in, wrap it up warm, take some strong painkillers and [strike]waste[/strike] utilise all that spare time on here;)
It's jolly cold here this morning, but a beautiful sunny day, so the washing is about to be pegged out. Without any wind I'm not sure how much drying it'll do, but hey it'll smell nice:D
mrs mix good luck with the vampire lady, let's hope she hits a vein first time!
Kettles just boiled, so off to make a coffee. Only managed half a cup before I went to the gym this morning.

Hi Everyone
Went to bed really early last night mainly to get out of the way.
Done my daily archerfish - just waiting for the email ones to arrive now. Already earned £1.10 through lightspeed today, but still don't know what to claim from them.
Got a flu jab this afternoon - got the call from the doctors' yesterday. Hate injections, but I guess it must be done.
Not spending any money today I hope. I've got to pick up some tablets for my dog, but hopefully they won't cost too much.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

I was thinking exactly the same. Love it when things get lost in translation.:rotfl:
Just had the glazing man round to give me a quote for getting my two cracked windows repaired. Years I've been waiting to get those done but no pence in the pot to do it. I can't wait because now I won't have to find reasons to close the ventians everytime we have people round. (not my closest friends - they don't worry about such things bless them)
Amie - what a rotten day yesterday. Hope Brighton shines bright for you today.
Haribo - Hope the aches and pains give you a break tonight so you get some rest. Don't forget to cream it for all its worth with the family tho. Perks of being ill.
MrsMcawber - you are a mine of information. I love reading your posts. I think you must have a lovely cosy home with you OH. No wonder he doesn't like the cookhouse food.
Anyway, friend coming to lunch so going to search for something cheap and cheerful but really scrummy to give her. Feel some cookies coming on. :rolleyes:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Morning All,
It has been a couple of months since I was here last - went back to school and managed to have a really fraught half term - strangely not because of the kids
Loved the story about the slashing - it's really rude around here - so's pumping!!!!;)
I have read the threads on several occasions over the last few weeks, but never had the chance to post - just as my fingers flexed to hit the keys, someone would distract me!!
Today we've not got much planned - dd2 (5 yrs) is going to the stables - they do great half term activities so she is paying pony games - whatever that is. On Thursday she is going for the whole day - own a pony day- basically this means we pay for her to have the privilege of shovelling you know what, brushing the beast for hours and then riding it for another hour - in my next life I'm going to own a stables!!:rotfl:
We have to chase up Occuptaional Therapy today for a hoist for Mum. She lives with us because she is disabled and came out of hospital two weeks ago - minus a hoist. She hadn't needed one before she went in so none of us realised how much help she needs now. At the moment I'm lifting her - not helpful for someone dodging a back op - but still it'll be ok soon.:p
I hope that those of you with bad backs are out of pain soon - there really is nothing worse - even childbirth wasn't that bad and there was an end to it , plus the added benefit of holding onto dh so tightly that he shared my pain IYSWIM!!
Have a wonderful day everyone and I hope you are all happy and healthy.
Hope to post again this half term.
Take care,
Tilly
xxThanks to this fantastic site and it's amazing people, we have paid over £63, 000 off - just over half way!!!:T THANK YOU:T0 -
Good Morning All
Slept better last night!
Savoury mince & mash for dinner. Brisket was lovely from y-day
Slowly getting through the washing.
Yesterday would have been exFIL 70th birthday! Shame he didnt get to see it!
Haribo - I do hope that back of your improve! Cant believe DH did not think to do the dishes for you! I sympathised with that patient on Doc Martin last night, cos the agony she was in, I sometimes get like that, and yes - even climbing stairs on all fours! (((Hugs))) to you
Amie - (((hugs))). I know very well how you feel about your keys! Dlb can back me up on this one. Luckily my DS is skinny enough to fit through our windows. But it was funny that me & dlb held the ladders and shoved my 60yr old mum through the window! (touch wood) its not happened since!
dlb - just read your post! lol at least Im not the only one to do these things!
HH - (((hugs))) sorry to hear about your uncle.
Sam - hope you feel better soon as well.
Sorry not had chance to read all the thread, Im running late, still got my hair to for work and babysitter will be here in 15mins
Love to you all

Morning all!
sitting here in a £15 from Bon Marche tracksuit and slippers, typing with one finger and using a teacosy to support my 'good' wrist... I should be in school, in proper clothes and shoes, halfway round Macbeth. NEVER thought I would miss work so much.
Being taken shopping with my mum this morning, she loves beading and is going to make me some magnetic bracelets as the copper one I bought is only good for turning me green. I'd cross my fingers, but can't!!!
Hospital appt this afternoon, so shall be giving the vampires lots of blood, plus it usually means 2 hours wait to be seen. Have chosen a good book.
Its the Haematology clinic, so hope they can sign me off now the lump was benign.
Hugs to all who are under the weather - get better soon!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning everyone,
Haribo hope the back eases soon but at least you have the perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing till it's better.
mrs mix hope the needle nurse is gentle on you. ((hugs))
aussie I haven't posted for a few days but I've been reading the thread. I've been giggling away at the thought of you pumping the postman and watching men slashing.
dogrose the painting of Christ of St John of the Cross was my absolute favourite too at Kelvingrove gallery but I think they have moved it when the place was refurbished recently(?). It's a shame as it was a very dramatic addition.
PenPen try Buchanan Galleries in the city centre. Full of designer shops where you can pretend you are a millionaire then walk out feeling smug at all the money you have saved by buying nothing.
luxor hope the hospital app goes well for you. ((hugs))
DS, DD and I went to Scotland for the weekend. I managed to deliver all the Christmas pressies so I only have DS and DD to sort out now.
Off today so I'm planning on getting DS's room decluttered before I start to redecorate it. He wants a chocolate and cream coloured theme. His room is long and narrow so I think the chocolate colour will only be accents.
WM is on. Will try hanging the washing out - it may even dry. Dinner will be something from the freezer. Like mrs mcawber, (well done on the weight loss btw :T ) I can't get another thing in the freezer so I really need to use everything up before I buy anything else.
Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
