    Afternoon all :)
DNMS, do take care, I think you should stay off work until the 48 hours period is up.

In other news, my gall bladder op has been cancelled - not sure how I feel about that. I have been waiting almost a year, after being told it was a priority and would be done within 3 months as I had had a nasty infection and bout of jaundice... oh well, I am managing it ok. Annoying part is I already cancelled my dental and hair appointments for next week. The hair one will be easy enough to rearrange, but the dental hygienist I like gets really booked up :(.

Anyway, been to the market in the next town this morning and bought lots of lovely veg and fruit. Also popped into the regular Thursday flea market and bought a couple of bits for my business :)
Got steak out for dinner, as I bought some YS salsa yesterday and it made me want fajitas. Will put the meat to marinate in a minute :)

    Also on list:
    Posted 2 ebay parcels
    List a few more items
    RM surveys tasks
    Check banks and update spreadsheet
    Hip exercises
Walk dog later if hip not hurting too much

But first I am going to go out in the garden and make the most of the nice weather today :)
  • to be honest I don't think I'm going to go to work tomorrow, feel weak and tender. Can't cancel madam going to cm without incurring full costs so looks like I'll have a free day :)

    * Just realised that they are closing the road I take to work over the weekend. This turns a 25 min journey into a 70 min journey. I thought they were just closing it overnight, but apparently they're closing it the whole weekend, so my journey to work on Saturday is going to be miserable and cost me more than it would usually. And they're doing this for three weekends running.

Boss has taken pity on me and given me Saturday off so if I can get out of work on time tomorrow I won't be inconvenienced this weekend.

Should have mentioned earlier, was kept awake last night by a police road block just donw the road from our house. An armed raid apparently, to arrest some lads who had carried out burglaries and an armed robbery on local shops :( The road was blocked to keep everyone away /stop them escaping - the actual raid was somewhere in the problematic social housing estate (I know not all social housing is problematic, but this area unfortunately is :() just off the main road.

In other news, there is a spate of car vandalism in areas of the town, up to 40 cars and counting apparently :( And this morning someone's car was forced off the road and they were threatened with assault but apparently the guys then realised that the person they had forced off the road wasn't the one they were looking for.

This is a really small town, barely more than a big village - dread to think what it is like in big cities  Things definitely seem to be getting out of hand :(

In more cheerful news, we took the dog out and found a discarded lump of wood that will do for the stove once dried out, and a poind coin :D

    Hi April Awesomees,

Just back from work. Had just an hours sleep last night worrying about work.

    Take care DNMS.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App. I have completed the 21-day Control Anxiety program and found it to be helpful. (Except for last night's blip.) I'm going to do another program now.

    * Check online banking and broadband usage.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Went to work and earned a day's wage. Oh, gads the problems I'm having at the moment. :silenced: Discussed concerns with boss. Just tomorrow to get through and it's my weekend.

    * Suddenly learned that my monthly work expenses have to be in by tomorrow to get paid in a fortnight. Had to jump in the car and spend £6.50 on next day delivery to get my paperwork South of the Border in time. Otherwise it'll be 7 weeks before I see the £150 I'm due.

To live without risk is to risk not living.

    Evening all,
Sorry to hear of everyone's tribulations. I actually seem to be sleeping quite a lot better at the moment. My problem isn't getting to sleep, it's 'staying asleep'. I've had bouts of the most hideous insomnia on & off all my adult life. If I can sleep till 5 a.m, that's a real result for me, & that is happening more often than not at the moment, thank goodness. Ok, today's money saving activity:
*Cleared all the ironing in one. Didn't want to do it. Hate ironing, but I'm sure I spend less on electricity to power the iron doing it in one session than I used to back when I'd pull out a garment I needed to wear on the day, which surely means paying to heat the iron up multiple times a week?
    *Did next week's meal plans.
    *Wrote shopping list.
    *Sowed cucumber seeds.
*Potted up more tomatoes, lettuces & some seedlings from the free flower seeds I sowed.
*Moved a few nice pots around the garden for a little bit of a new look (Spend = now't)
*Mixed up a sourdough loaf to bake tomorrow morning.
*Used last of a cut open tube of hand cream.
Think that's it, as I've been so industrious in the garden for most of the day.

I read this thread all the time but haven't contributed before.

    A few from me..

I've just started a new job and am on the induction this week, they don't provide any tea or coffee in the breaks so I've been taking a flask or drinking tap water as I'm not paying 95p for a cup of tea!

Spent some time doing knitting with my daughter, good cheap past time and stops either of us snacking too!

Had the heating on briefly tonight but it's off now, and didn't have it on at all earlier in the day.

Twisting Hi and welcome - that all sounds great.

Foxgloves (or anyone) I hear a lot of talk on the forum about sourdough bread - is there any particular reason why its so popular (ie is it easier than normal bread?) I love making bread and would like to do it more but I normally find it time consuming and faffy so only get round to it once or twice a year.

Been out working in the community today (normally work from home) this is a danger point for me as I get tempted to pop to the shops on the way home and end up blowing a fortune on snacks and rubbish as I'm peckish BUT today I resisted temptation - even resisted the crisps and chocolate when i filled up with petrol. So today is my 3rd NSD this month already (petrol is paid by work so doesnt count as spends) I'm actually quite proud of that as I only managed 5 in the whole of last month.

In other news I STILL havent received a new smart key for the online banking - grrrrr!!!:mad:

    Mse things today:

:A no heating on again - yay!
:A breakfast and lunch from stores
:A dinner is curry made with rubber chicken I cooked on tuesday
:A started to sort out a few things to go on the selling site
:A mum brought yet more clothes from cs for the twins
:A mum also brough a dozen eggs from her hens as she's away and won eat them all
:A mum ALSO brought me a free loaf of bread (dont you just love mums :D)
:A 2p roadkill to debt jar
:A surveys done including one for £6 should be available for cashout next week
:A £2.30 cashed out from topcashback - sent to debt jar
:A started on meal plan and shopping list for next week
:A changed gas and electricity tariff - slightly more expensive but much cheaper than the standard rate I was due to go on to at the end of the month

Think thats it - looking forward to Friday tomorrow as 1. I'm shattered and 2. its payday so all my budgets get reset. Hoping the nicer weather lasts into the weekend
Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!
