Oh I wish. I'm hoping for a decision next week.
The season for soup is upon us :)

  • Thanks DIA for your advice. Good friends confirmed my struggle with this. Have decided to stay with EDF,but get their best tariff for me.
Have the same issue with a digital radio which me and hubbie like to have on all night. The display goes out if the rechargeable batteries are used, but as soon as it is plugged in, the display light stays on all the time. The batteries don't last all night either. Argh!!!! very annoying.
Good news about the soup. It's that time of year and feeling colder today. Soon be time to switch the heating on. What a novelty, only had it installed in March.
    All the best xxx

I recall when I had my boiler fitted a few years back and the first winter I got to use it. Bliss. I hope you stay toasty all winter :)

  • Feeling blurrh today and just a little overwhelmed. WFH and a definite NSD too.

I finally bought a desk. It comes today which is a good thing, but I also bought a TV this month so 2 big purchases and spending large amounts of money (to me) makes me nervous. I also ordered a hoodie as I want to start walking in the mornings now the weather is cooler. I also need trainers. Sometimes it feels like there is always something I need to buy!

I have been decluttering continually so stuff continues to exit thank goodness :)

I am creating a creativity corner with the desk and plants so I can get up in the depths of winter and have a cosy corner to go to. A flask, a hot water bottle, a lap blanket that sort of thing…:)

I am stalling on the house. Nothing done over the past few days so today I ATE A FROG and called a company I saw working on a neighbour’s house. (Cheeky I know) They specialise in brickwork and plastering so I have arranged a quote for Monday. :T

I don’t feel very MSE but all purchases are meticulously researched and will make my life open up so it is what it is.

Making the soup I should have made 4 days ago!

A meeting next week about the sabbatical :T

Wishing you all a great day

  • Sounds lovely DIA. It's just occurred to me that I could have some plants in my office here too - I might well have a look for some so thank you :)

  • Sounds like a great idea with the desk area. I must sort mine out, I am spending far too much time sat in a dull space.
