The man at the local garage does it for me for free, but I have known him 30 years , well that my excuse anyway.
Keep going on your list this week.
I am working on finding a small independent garage that will take care of my needs and I can trust. A friend recommended one so I will contact them tomorrow. Hopefully air and water will be all I ever have to do. When I drove before my other half took care of all that, but it feels nice to know I can do things like this, even if they are quite basic for some.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Well done on getting it working and also on sorting out the tyres etc. Look at all the frogs you're eating this week :T.
I think you're very wise to know yourself and your limits. There's no point in trying to do too much and then getting so stressed that you achieve nothing. Hopefully getting all of this practical stuff done this week will free you up to do some really creative work next week.
I never thought I would be so enthusiastic about a sat nav. I like that it tracks the speed I am doing and knows the speed limit to compare against too
I am indeed learning my limits. The plan is exactly as you say regarding the creative project. I should be 'good to go' next week as the Americans sayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I get Halfords to fit my windscreen thingamajigs too. It's amazing, you only have to ask once and they actually get on with it immediately. I'd try myself but I'm cack handed. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I’ve been sneezing for a few days and today I have a sore throat and other symptoms I will spare you the details of. I have a temperature too, but I will keep going as this cold hasn’t developed yet so I will take advantage of this lull before it floors me.
Washing done and out drying. The dress I washed said dry clean only but it is 100% wool so I have chanced a hand wash cycle and I will dry it flat. I hope that works.
I need to empty my boot of all the charity shop goodies as it is weighing the boot down. I usually use public transport but the cost is now £4.80 return but the sat nav is giving me the confidence to drive there first and then go on to Halfords.
I will also be posting 2 PP1 letters (getting proof of posting)
Later I will visit the garage my friend recommended.
So that is the plan for my day
I hope your plan for your day goes wellIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Sorry to hear you're sick DIA - I hope you can get through all your jobs today and relax this evening to recover.
Got everything crossed for the PP1 letters!
Public transport is so expensive these days. I remember when i used to work in the city when I was about 16, a weekly bus ticket was £11 - goodness knows what it is now but it's more than £5 return per day for sure.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Halfords is fab at light bulbs, wipers and such. I can do them myself, but these days am so busy it is easier to bung a few quid at the problem and let them do it lol! I have a good garage I trust for the big stuff and a tyre place that seems to always have stock in too. These things are so important, esp because I rely on my car so much.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0

That said, I will walk for short journeys

I now need to build a relationship with a garage that is trustworthy for the big things as you sayredofromstart wrote: »Hope you feel better soon DIAIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Yesterday, predictably, the cold/bug/flu hit me. I always get a migraine as an add-on when I can’t eat, so that wasn’t nice! Today I still have the cold/bug/flu but my temperature has decreased and the migraine has gone, so happy days.
Yesterday before it hit, I visited Halfords (using my sat nav) and thank you Rosa and Redo as I paid £2 to get them to fit the wiper. I kept the box and watched how it was done so if I want to I can replace it easily myself stress-free if I want to in future. Although it is less than the price of a coffee to have it done and sometimes it is nice to have things done for me
I emptied the boot of all the decluttering. It was easy as I drove there and I would not have done that without the sat nav.
The only issue I had with the sat nav was it kept falling off yesterday so I am going to buy some blue tack to make sure it stays securely in place.
I have a GP appointment later about an issue I’ve been ignoring for years
I’m unsure I’m well enough to go. I will see how I feel at lunchtime.
I did not complete my list yesterday so I still need to do the PP! letters and also chase my phone/BB provider who have locked me into an 18 month contract when I asked for a 12 month contract.
I have the MOT tomorrow
I will visit the garage my friends recommended another time as there is no urgency unless the MOT tells me different...
I have zinc and vitamin C so taking that. I have organic turmeric, ginger and lemons so making a concoction with that and raw honey.
I hope you are all having a good day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Try not to let your cold put you off going to the GP today. If it's something you've been ignoring for years, try not to make an excuse to put it off unless you really cannot go. Grab the bull by the horns, so to speak.
Hope the MOT goes well and the wellness concoction works!Sealed Pot Challenge 075
