You see? You can't be cross with yourself if you have done the working out as to what is necessary spending. None of this is frivolous.

BTW, some of the phone selling sites pay out even for dead phones, so worth seeing if you'll get something for it. Even a fiver would help towards the satnag :)

I have a whole lot of old phones/ipads/laptops to clean up and dispose of, and am aware that their (limited) value is dropping daily... but I have work that needs doing.
  • DH and I have a sat nav that is several years out of date and we haven't paid for any updates. It hasn't been a problem for us yet as they don't seem to build new roads that quickly. We've driven all around London, as well as country roads using it and we haven't got lost once :). Just thought I'd mention it in case it's helpful.

    Have a good weekend :).

My car has a built in nav that is now out of date but mostly ok. I asked about the updates but they wanted £150  so I went back to using my smartphone for free. The main thing I noticed about the lack of updates is that it tells me the wrong speed limit in places but it never sent me seriously wrong route-wise. Either way you go about it, I totally agree that it's worth every penny in stress busting and confidence building. I would never have driven as much as I have without one.

I hope you had success yesterday finding a sat nav and a phone DIA. Also that your car passes it's MOT .

Have you managed any creative work this weekend ?

Thanks Cumbria. I have a phone so at least I can be contacted but I will need a SMART one soon. I'm afraid i failed on the mission to get my sat nav. I will have to try again tomorrow as they were sold out. Sadly NOTHING creatively. I am not going to stress about it. I need to get the sat nav and car sorted first :o

A big frog eaten today. So after researching and actually buying the printer I put off the set up. The huge box has been staring at me for days so I finally, today, I set it up. It has taken the best part of the day and 2 youtube videos but it is done. I need paper so will pick some up tomorrow but it is tested and it works. :)

I tried to eat another frog and buy the sat nav but not only was it sold out but it appears to be in just one location within travelling distance. The plan is to buy it tomorrow and get it up and running. :(

In other news 2 huge Swedish store bags have been decluttered. There are things I have felt unable to let go for some time but suddenly I can. Some of the things are of value but I think the hospice movement do valuable work so I am happy if I can make them a few pounds. I have to remember I don’t have much, but others have it much worse.

I’m feeling proud of myself for dealing with the printer purchase and set-up.

This week I also got my phone up and running. I get that most people could probably sort a new phone, get it up and running and the same with a printer, without batting an eye, but I am not most people.

This coming week there are more frogs to eat and that’s okay.

I hope you are all having a relaxing evening and are recharged ready for the week ahead.

The house is looking much clearer and lighter. ;) I keep finding things to get out of the house. I will have to do a tip run. I’ve decided to give myself a break this week so I will not be doing any creative work until the weekend

I cleaned, organised, made soup and decluttered today

I walked today, only a few miles but it was dry and bright and I feel better for it ;)

I took something back to the shops that had developed a fault. Amazingly I had the receipt, so £20 back into my account and an annoying object out of the house :T :money:

I used a foundation that I thought a little ‘heavy’ for my tastes but I added moisturiser so now it is a tint and I can wait to buy the sheer tint I usually buy :money:

I misunderstood the sat nav.:o (My luddite tendencies strike again!) I thought it required a smart phone to run from. I had not realised it ran from the cigarette lighter, that’s why I was going on about needing a new phone. I only need it for the updates and I won’t need to do that for 3 months :o

Really pleased that there is no urgency for a phone :)

The guy who sold me the sat nav was great and so helpful. I will spend this evening familiarising myself with it.

Wishing you all a lovely evening :)
