(It is okay, life is up and down. ) I think the problem is having had the bedroom done it reminded me that I had not used that room for so many years and it made me feel a bit sad for the past me if I am honest. It also threw into light other issues that have gone on years like not having a functioning bathroom, kitchen or even oven. I will do these things, just as I did the bedroom, but where the money will come from I don’t know right now.
Whenever I have problems I feel better with an action plan, so last night I went back through past papers to see if there are any PPI claims I have missed. There are two more I can do and one is a credit card I did not remember having but found a statement for. I am also going to try to reclaim some mortgage arrears fees. I feel quite angry that the papers show how hard they were clobbering me at one stage when I did not have sufficient work.. I am also going to contact two store card providers. Even if they are unsuccessful I feel better knowing I tried.
I need to buy a printer! A phone! A back up drive! All expensive purchases and then my car is due its MOT. So much expense!!
In other news I have stopped sugar and alcohol and simple carbs again. Weight and physical health benefits aside, when I am leaner and fitter and less brain fogged by poor dietary decisions I am better able to handle life. So back on the wagon for me. :
Hoping you are all okay as we hit the mid-week mark
Good luck with the PPI claims DIA I really hope you have some success.
Printers are actually quite cheap now, only about £30 - £40 and a back up drive would only be about £40 for a terabyte on Am@zon. It depends upon how more storage you needed for your back ups. The phone would probably be the most expensive, would it be worth getting a used phone in good condition?
I agree completely that sugar and alcohol clog the brain and stop you being clear headed, so well done on improving your diet again :T.
I hope you feel better soon, often it's best not to think to much about the past but to try and look forwards. We can't change the past but we can change our future to some extent.

Thanks for the printer posts Mark88, HH and Rosa.
Thanks for dropping by Mrs Boo Boo. Your husband sounds nice and yes a shame I don’t live near you. Thanks for reminding me of the 15 minute thing. I do it sometimes but should do it more as it always works for me. Your encouragement came at the right time for me, so appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of your time off.
And yes HH, forward. No point in looking back on past circumstances. I have decided to look at printers today. If I can get one I can print off the letters for PP1 (whenever I correctly spell PP1 I get ads for days after offering services, annoying!)
The issue with the phone I purchased was SIM size related so I will go back today and see if there is another solution.
All of this is the opposite of creative and nothing has been done for days on my project.
It is very windy here but fresh so I will be going for a walk to return a library book. The Salt Path, about a couple who lose their home and decide to wild camp and walk 600+ miles. Very inspiring. Anyway, and I hope the wind blows all the negative thinking out of my head

Sim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0

If your sim is too big, you can go into a mobile phone shop (not an official one like V0dafn, 02 etc) but the independent phone cover/ phone repair shops and get your sim cut down to size. My dad just got this done and I think it cost him £10? No idea if this is the best way to go about it but it's working for him.
That book sounds lovelyA bit different to what I'd normally read but sounds appealing. I might see whether my library does a digital download of that.
Have you got a plan for your creative project to get you back into it? An aim or a goal? Maybe setting some mini goals week by week will help to focus you? You seemed to also benefit from getting up and out the door in the morning, so perhaps doing that and heading to a cafe to work for a few hours would help. If you just assign a couple of days per week to it (changeable depending on your mood of course) then it'll help you to progress. Just an encouraging word from the Head of Procrastination over here!Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I didn't do a walk in the end INOD
So, I will take the library book back tomorrow. I read another book of my own whilst out. I was at page 150 and it still wasn't working for me so I donated it to the CS. It was a hardback so it took up space, but now it has gone
Thermal extra long leggings picked up, reduced from £12.90 to £2.90
I bought a printer for £60 so I am hoping it is not too difficult to set up. I am tired so I might not get the set-up done until the morning, but pleased I have it as I can now write letters for PP1 claims.
I bought some screen cleaner that was on offer for £2. My screen is sparkling and I now realise it was very unclean before. Ah well...:o
A productive day for me

Glad you had a productive day DIA and that you got a reasonably priced printer, they are very useful to have.
I've read an article somewhere about The Salt Path and thought it sounded a very interesting book. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Glad the procrastination comments ring true- it's only because those behaviours are so familiar to me haha
Fingers crossed a straight up and out approach works wonders for tomorrow's productivity!Sealed Pot Challenge 075
