I went to the library but my spot was taken. The coffee shop was crowded too, so I came home. I don’t work well at home on this project. Funny, because with my other work I WFH very well. As the American’s say ‘go figure’

So I have a new plan for tomorrow. It will cost but it should be low (ish) cost. So, there is a bus I can get to IK3A. For £1 I can have coffee/tea refills all day. If I buy a cooked breakfast I should be able to get by until my evening meal. This will be a total spend of £7 for the day. Considering at home I am also spending on heating, gas for countless cups of coffee or tea and the cost of beverages. So I think the cost is justified if I can work effectively.

It is beyond cold today, too cold to forgo heating until this evening so the heating is on.

My mobile did not come live again. I looked it up on line and there is one more thing to try but the power needs to drain first. If that doesn’t work I will need a new phone. More expense.:(

    Feeling unsettled today.

I hope you are all more settled than I am and your day is going well :)

  • Hi DIA,

Good idea with the Swedish store.

Boo to the phone, one thing I've done in the past is put it in rice and then in the airing cupboard, it worked again. Hope it comes back to life for you.

Hope you're feeling less unsettled today too xx

Thanks everyone. The unsettled feeling has gone thank goodness :)

Yesterday was a good day on the whole. I went to the Swedish store and I did get some work done. I also got curtains and napkins and bought some cake and left my change of £6.25 so sort of pricey. I also passed the stoopidmarket on the way home and spent £30 so it ended up being an expensive day. :o That said I got work done and that was the aim.

The decorator wants to start in a week’s time. I am going to say yes. I don’t have the money it is true but I asked if I did the woodwork myself would she lower the quote. I’ve never done woodwork but I got some paint a while back for wood at a cheap price. I will have to try. She has dropped her quote by £150 so I will go ahead. ;)

I’m thinking of raising the money by having more NSDs. Cutting back the food shopping bill and there is no council tax either. This month will be 15 days NSD but I will be stretching it in February to 20 by having NSDs every week day and spending only at weekends. Beanie runs a NSD thread (thanks beanie) so I will register again.

My phone is still broken but I have not given up hope quite yet. :(

I had a nice day today. I met a friend and we went to one of the royal parks for a long walk and then for coffee and cake and a long chat :) Spends on fares and snacks and YS salmon and a paper. I’m okay with that :)

    Happy Saturday everyone :)
