My dvd recorder came today at 8am ;D

could anyone please give me lxdirect email address please?

I have tried clicking on the email they sent me confirming my order. But when you click on the link in the email that says click here to email us. Nothing happens.
I have sent one to the same email there email came from queries@lxdirect.com . But im not sure if this is the right one.?
I need to contact them because £222.93 has been taken from my account. I dont know who has taken it yet, because it hasnt shown up on my statement yet. But I know that amount hs been taken from the money in my account to the available balance. I dont have anything else to pay out so far, so it must be them.
Now my order did come to £222.93, But with the 25% discount I used .I should have been charged £167.93. But I think they have taken the full whack out. So I just need to email them and ask.

    thanks

You MAY find that there will be a credit to your account later today for the 25% difference. That's how discounts are applied by LXDirect.

    Best of luck.

ive only ordered once before, that was with at £15 first order code, this is what i got when i tried to use "ZG3711 "...even tho' not used that one before

Unfortunately we are unable to process your recent order as our records show you have already taken advantage of our online promotional offer. The terms and conditions of the promotion are strictly one per customer. Therefore we are unable to process the order with the promotion. However, if you wish you can re-submit the order without the promotion if the goods are still required, simply Click Here.

any one else got this... how do i get round it ...pls?
  • I had the same problem and LX do take the full amount and then refund the voucher automatically either same day or the following day.

    thanx Trojan
  • Thanks beerbellybill999 and wispa , youve put my mind at ease.

Nina they will send you another email titled "Order Acknowledged " in that they say what you have bought and how much it is, before the discount, and how much you pay with your discount, so your discounts are included in the email.
    They send you 2 emails.
Although they didnt send my brother the first standard email of "LXdirect Order Acknowledgement "saying we have got your order. But he got the 2nd one.

I advise that you don't go mad with these codes, they know something is going on as this post has been put on other forums. Some of the codes haven't even been issued yet so just a warning, they are on the ball and this bit in the t&c's always worries me
" Only the customer selected to receive the order is entitled to use the promotion code. Where you have used a promotion code to obtain a discount off the price of your order, acceptance of this order is conditional on us verifying that the code has been issued to you personally. In the event that the code has not been issued by us to you personally, the price of your order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email confirmation which you receive" :-/

would it work if you was to order it in someone elses name, like someone you live with, mr jema? then when filling in your address, put your next door neighbours number in, instead of your own. so when your neighbout gets it, see's the name, they will think they have got the wrong number and drop it off to you.
although you would have to have a trusty neighbour how you get on with ;D
  • good point mrme, if people dont get there discounts they could send them back. you get to keep the things for 14 days, any later they wont give you a refund. I just used the one code of 25% for first time customer, which is what i am. and spent £167.
I gave the code to my brother as he is wants a new tv and dvd recorder, so he ended up spending quite alot with them £600.
so i hope to god they give him his discount coz he will be riled with me if he doesnt, coz he could of got 10% off at dixons. which he turned down, to do this offer.
  • Its not a problem if the voucher is rejected. You will know by the time you receive it and you can refuse delivery or even send it back using the returns policy for a full refund. You may sometimes lose the postage. You can use the voucher again but it must be in another name even if they live at the same address, but why not use one of the numerous vouchers.

OK, i'm starting to get a bit worried about this. But my understanding from the t&c extract in your post is that:

    1. we get the discount at the LXDirect staff's discretion
    2. if we don't qualify for the code, they take it off or send an email asking us to contact them.
    3. they are not saying they have the right to take the money back if we used a voucher that we should not have.

I think its up to them to check whether we qualify or not and they should tell us before taking payment. They have a database of order information and if they send out goods, they must check the customer records 1st. Its unproffessional to send out stuff and later say that 'oh you are not entitled to that money off so we'll take it back' cos it looks like their staff are not doing their job.

    Can someone clarify this please?

    Nick.
