I used LX for the first time buying a DVD recorded listed at £199.99 used a few codes, one brought the price down to 179.99 and one gave me a £25 voucher which gave the conformation price as 154.99

I paid the item wiht credit card which is not showing as debited yet, the product arrived but the invoice shows at 179.99.

What exactly is the £25 voucher as such?

Also it was the Panasonic DVD Recorder listed as E55 EBS but seems to be E55, is there anyone who bought this model and if so what exactly does the EBS mean.

you can only use one discount code and one p+p code per order...
if you had used the 20% off code i just listed above, plus a p+p code, you would have got the panasonic for 160...

I used the £15 off any order code - placed an order for £19, had the order confirmed by email at only costing me £4, now my statement has come through saying I owe them £19!

if they accept the code you will be debited 19 then RECREDITED the 15 soon after...

if they havent recredited the 15 give them a call and see if they will...

if they wont then send if back...

dont forget, you are "trying it on" if the code wasnt sent to YOU... there is always a risk it wont work!

Hi all 1st time poster i need a little advice. please.

I used a £20 promo code for 2 items worth over £60 but today when my order arrived it says in the advice note that its still the same - no sign of my £20 off

It seemed to work ok when i ordered my items - no pop up box came up saying sorry not valid etc and it even had a minus - £20.00 onthe cekout screen ???

Any ideas wht to do? i've emailed lxdirect but no reply as yet.

Don't worry about what it says on the delivery note. They always seem to bill you for the higher price and then immediately recredit your account with the discount.

I have bought numerous items and it has always happended this way. I know at some point I may get stung but that the risk wioth any of the codes we use on this site. the general rule is - are you happy to by the item at the regular price? If so any discount is a bonus - a bargain is only a bargain if you wanted it in the first place.

I ordered a copy of GTS San Andreas from LX Direct on the 27th November 2004. I used the £10 off code and the free p&p code. They debited the money from my debit card on the 27th November. On the 28th Decemmber I recieved an e-mail from LX Direct to say that they had no copies of the game in stock and would be unable to send one until the 10th December at the earliest and even then they couldn't guarantee that I would revieve a copy. I decided to cancell my order and it was cancelled on the 29th November by telephone. They have now said that I have to allow until the 27th of December until I can have a refund on my debit card as they believe that the order has been posted before it was cancelled. So I am now left with no game and I am £37.99 out of pocket at the moment and willbe until the 3rd January at the very earliest. All this time LX Direct are earning interest on the money they have taken from me. Has anyone else had a similar experience from LX Direct and can anyone help me at all?
