Rubbish nights sleep and now have a banging head thanks to it, nipped into small town with DH as he needed some new waterproof trousers and thought a wander round in the fresh air might help, but just ended up feeling worse.
Nipped into co-op got some reduced bits and some butter and syrup so I can make some flapjack spent around £6.
Did find my meal plan that I thought I had lost yesterday in a silly pocket in my handbag.
small sale on £bay of £7 will use some of this to buy FIL a book for Christmas that i'm watching on 3bay and any change will go into savings.
Made some rocky road and butternut squash soup since I was up early, but I seemed to have now ground to a halt but I have things I need to do.

Staying at home day, apart from taking DD to work, DH is working for a friend which pays more than his main job. I need to get on top of house stuff, I have farmer friends paperwork to do and must do some baking.
DS is complaing there is nothing to eat because I didn't do a big shop this week and was a total grump yesterday afternoon, pointed out there was soup, ham, tuna for sandwiches, cheese for toasties, crumpets, fishfingers (fishfinger sandwich), baked beans, fruit, apparently this was all EFFORT, so told him he could starve:rotfl:, what he mean't was there was no snacking stuff to just grab whilst sat in front of his xbox. He ate all his tea though:D.
Still eating from freezer, i'm hoping that by next weekend I can move anything left in small chest freezer into large chest freezer, defrost and clean Sml Fzr and start putting bits for Christmas in there.
Todays we are eating crumpets/bagels for brekkie, lunch is soup and cheese toastie and tea is a yummy rst chicken with rst spuds, stuffing and veg.

Afternoon all, sorry I have been missing life has been a bit crazy and all in a good way, December seemed to fly in a blur with the craziness of school and then having a houseful of people for 3 days over Christmas.
New cottage - havn't completed on it yet and everything seems to have stalled as there is some issues with a small piece of land that the owners are selling with the cottage but that isn't in there name on the land registry,in fact it isn't even on the land registry. So unless that is sorted soon it may be back to square one as we made the offer believing this piece of land was included.
Christmas was fantastic, we had a houseful and I cooked for everyone, lots of food left over much has been frozen and we have a vast array of alcohol left as well. DH has told me not to do a grocery shop in January, nobody tell himabout the sainsbug shop that came today as I had a voucher for £13 off a £70 spend.I bought mainly cupboard stuff and squirrelled everything away so he won't know :rotfl:
Both children received lovely presents and had a lovely day, I was also very spoilt and received lots of choccies, perfume, smellies and jewellery, also received £150 in money and gift vouchers. Dh was really happy with the tickets I managed to get for the final of a sporting event. We received a lot of foodie gift and I have put most of these away and will ration them out thoughout January otherwise DS and DH will gorge on them.
We are not going out for New year and have decided we will just have a quiet one the four of us as Christmas was so mad, so we will have a takeaway and already have drink in, so shouldn't be to expensive and I can slob in my PJs so an added bonus.
I need to start thinking about next year and all the goals I want to achieve.0 -
Glad you had a fab Christmas. NYE plans sound great. We're going out this year but usually stay in. I always fall asleep before midnight, hopefully I won't do this in the pub :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Morning, rubbish night sleep so got up early and have achieved nothing but drinking tea and mooching on MSE.
I'm loosing track of days and which one we are on, everyday feels like Sunday and my routine is to pot. Staying at home today and catching up with washing and housework.
DH is taking DD to a local agriculture shop that sells horsey stuff as she is desperate to buy some bits out of her Christmas money, i'm staying away as I do not need anything but if I go I will want lots of things and as we are off to Cheshire 0aks next week i want to save my pennies, I have a small list of things I need and a couple of wants and will use my Christmas money then the rest of January is going to be frugal and penny pinching.
Must get some bits listed on ebay and do some surveys and start topping those saving pots up.
Eating from stores today toast/porridge for breakfast, lunch cold meat sandwiches or cheese and crackers fruit and mince pies.Tea is a bits of this and that to use stuff up salad, pork pies, oven chips, quiche and anything else lurking that needs eating.
Have a great weekend xx0 -
