  • Morning.

We have put an offer in yesterday afternoon for cottage:eek:, just waiting now to hear back as the couple that own it are separated and EA could only get hold of one of them.

Ordered a hoodie for DS for xmas, la red0ute currently have 40% off everything so that's at least a start. It's a sports brand I know he likes and wears so fingers crossed he likes it.

£5 BIN sale 0n £bay which has gone into savings pot.

Need to do a small top-up shop on way home from work, just a few fresh bits of milk, potatoes and veggies. Have a voucher for MR T but as I havn't had time to write a list i'm not going to risk doing a big shop as I will end up buying random stuff we don't need.I also need to nip into town tomorrow so will pop into £shop for snacky/packed lunch bits. Might have a look in boots for something for DD Christmas stocking.

Thanks, well we had to up our offer a little, was expecting it as we did put in a low offer and had our new offer accepted:D:j, still quite a bit under the asking price and still less than I was prepared to pay, so super excited.

I keep telling myself that this is the good that has come out of lasts years bad, being told I had cancer was one of the worst times in my life. My dad always made a point of telling us when we were growing up to get life insurance, health insurance, critical illness etc. I'm so glad that I listened and did so in my early twenties.
  • Decided once kids had gone off to school this morning that I would nip into town and do a bit of shopping, only once I got there I remembered that there is an ice-rink being built in the square and traffic was horrendous so I ditched my idea of parking at Mr S and managed to park on the outskirts down a back street, did mean I had to sit in the car and reduce my shopping list to weekend essentials. Walked down to Mr S and spent £15, then nipped into M&S to get there breaded chicken goujons which are 3 packs for £10 + I had a voucher for 20% off so got 3 packs for £8:D, Also got advent calender for DH and had a 20% off voucher for that saving another £2.
Nipped into boots and bought 3 xmas presents on the 3for2 and paid using love2shop vouchers.
Popped into B00ths on the way home to get potatoes and toilet rolls as couldn't carry them back through town.

Did manage to loose my shopping list whilst out which also had my meal plan for the week on it, so now need to write a new meal plan and try and remember what we are eating.

Plans for today are ironing, tidying and ebay listing. Might have time to catch up with Dark Heart as well as I was shattered both Wednesday and last night and havn't watch them yet and DD was desperate to tell me what had happened this morning.
  • Morning penny, hope you can relax a bit about Xmas presents - honestly I think most people are happy with what they receive and whatever you buy will be great. If not it's tough, they can get their own stuff. Have a look at the clip Martin Lewis did about Xmas it really hits home.

Wow fantastic news about the cottage I hope it all goes well, you're so right about getting insurance - we've just adapted ours to fit in line with the new mortgage. I hope you continue to be well and enjoy the next chapter of life.
