  • Morning,I have been awake since 5.30am as i was cold. So decided to get up and do a few paperwork/computer jobs so not to wake the rest of the house, I don't think it would have gone down well if I had started hoovering :rotfl:. I must remember to dig out my fluffy throw this evening to go on the bed.

Busy weekend, visiting friends and rellies. Also had DH sports presentation dinner so didn't feel as though we had a relaxing family weekend, this weekend needs to be more chilled and not us all going in different directions.
£bay was fab at the weekend and I made just over £100, also extra child ben has gone in account today so all of that has been split between saving pots.

Still trying to eat out of the freezer, last night we had chicken goujons, wedges and salad, tonight is a garlic prawn pasta concoction with garlic bread, also need to chuck together a salad for work using last nights left overs, will take some fruit and a yoghurt as well.

Better go have a shower and get ready for work :(.

  • Morning.

Payday was yesterday, so bits and pieces have been paid and money juggled into various pots, need to sit tomorrow and do a proper budget for the month.
£200 has been paid off DS school tripand I have put £5 on his school lunch account account, he already had £3.50 on it so that can do him for the rest of the week.

I don't think I have mentioned but we have decided to knock the holiday home abroad on the head, with life just being so busy we have decided we wouldn't get the use out of it for many years and who knows what is going to happen with the whole Brexit saga.
So we have decided on buying another house to rent out and will use the income to have some amazing holidays instead. We went to look at a property yesterday and it was a no no, great project for someone but it needed gutting, new roof and lay out was all wrong so it was just too much work for DH when he is working 60hrs a week anyway.

Still eating out of the freezer, did have a small spend in Mr T of approx £10 on fresh bits, but I can actually more things around in the freezer now and i'm not playing tetris everytime I open it to get something out.
Have done an online shop to come Friday using £10 off voucher, it's come in around £70 but I've bought cleaning bits and a large pack of toilet roll which bumped it up.

    Have a great day x

Sounds sensible about the holiday home. Good luck with finding something else.

  • Afternoon.

Horrible wet weather here today and don't really feel like doing anything more than sitting in front of the woodburner watching carp on the TV, DH wants to go to the cinema tonight, obviously me talking about being frugal and saving as much as we can and not over spending has gone in one ear and out the other. Afraid DH mentality is I work hard I deserve to spoil myself and have everything I want NOW:mad:.

Anyway moving on - Scheduled a few bits on £bay and have a few items on with bids, hope to make around £30, surveys are slow at the minute, waiting on a few pounds to be paid from sh0pimum and check0utsmart.

Must start some Christmas shopping, might nip to M&S tomorrow as I have a voucher for £5 off a £30 spend and could get tins of biscuits that we always get for relatives. DD/DS just want money so that is easy, will get a few stocking fillers for them as well.

Still trying to eat up what we have and be frugal, had scampi, chips and salad last night, tonight I have no idea what to do as we were having cannaloni (sp!) but if DH is wanting to go and watch a film at 5.30pm it means either a really early tea or a really late one which is a complete pain.
Have a Butternut squash and some carrots that are looking past there best so will make some soup tomorrow, also have some apples to stew up.

Off to put another wash on, have a good weekend.
  • Ah I feel for you r.e. dh and wanting things because he works hard (as if we don't!), can you get any vouchers towards it? My dh wants to see First Man but has said no himself to save money for Xmas.

Hope ebay is successful for you and no more returns.

The kids have counted the xmas shopping money so we can start to get bits and pieces too, I think this year it's going to be mainly food related.

    Enjoy your evening, H x

Thanks Huggle, DH decided not to go to the cinema as he remembered there was a big fireworks display on and thought it would be to much hassle getting into town and parked :D.
  • Afternoon, can't believe it is Sunday already.

This morning I got up and made rocky road, had brekkie and then went into town with DH, had a couple of money off vouchers I wanted to use which would have expired before next weekend, so nipped to M&S and bought 3 large tins of biscuits and 2 boxes of chocs and saved £5 so cost me £26,so that's 5 Christmas presents sorted, then nipped into Primani as I can't find my gloves and got 2 pairs for £1 only plain black but perfectly fine, did buy 2 pairs of PJs for Christmas presents for little family members and bought myself some reduced fluffy polar bear PJs for £3:D so total spend in there was £15. Had a grocery voucher to use £4 off a £40 spend so I have bought a Gammon for Christmas and a few other christmasy bits. Also received another £4 off voucher.

Tidied Kitchen after lunch and swept mopped floors, once dried I will put on some more washing and start veg prep for tea, Rst chicken, rst spuds, cauli cheese, carrots and stuffing, nom nom.

Have a few bits to list on £bay and bids are up to £40 on items ending tonight, receipts have been photographed and uploaded to receipth0g, must put some money on DS lunch account.

Better go and do some ironing. xx
