Happy afternoon everyone

Been at work all morning, and had a trip to the dentist, so I've been quite busy! Going to have a hectic evening, as I have family coming round to see my new house tomorrow for the first time, so I will be scrubbing EVERYWHERE and making it look lovely and pretty and cosy and just hopefully, as perfect as it can get, while being extremely MSE and having as little waste as possible

Livelifefull - Oh my days, what a list! Do find time for a little sit-down.
HappyKitties - Hmmm. Sadly not. Cat naughtiness with food still ongoing. The 'horrible gruel' is actually a 50:50 mix of Waitrose meat, which for sone reason he hates, & Felix Doubly Delicious which he loves. We started this when he said he'd rather starve than eat the Waitrose ones. The 1st time, we fooled him & he wolfed a mixed bowl down. But since then, he's sussed our cunning ploy & tonight he has had precisely 2 mouthfuls. I don't waste food & this includes cat food.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

And hi to everyone else, & here's my list:
*Baked sourdough loaf I mixed up yesterday & re-fed jar.
*Made minestrone soup which used up some cabbage & bacon. Also made a pasta bake for a free meal next week.Served with last 2 bits of foccaccia from freezer.
*Changed bed linen & loaded into washer ready for cheap overnight tariff.
*Entered 2 prize draws.
*Did 3 surveys.
*mr f has started researching broadband providers (ours doesn't expire until June, but he's apparently feeling slightly ripped off!)
*Did a final budget check-in before my big budget day next week. There has been an error in my accounting somewhere along the line of about £20. It will almost certainly have been from a funds swap at some point. So worthwhile checking budgets throughout the month. Glad I spotted the shortage if not the exact cause.
*Paid off CC - 2 purchases where card was used solely to maximise points for vouchers.
*Paid another 50p into my sealed pot.
*Best ironing pile EVER! Once I'd sorted everything, there was 1 shirt needing the iron. I have saved it till next week. Not worth paying to heat up the iron for 1 garment.
*Did meal plans.
*Will do shopping list tonight.
*Do DFDiary post - think I will share the story of how I never got to buy my motorbike & got into debt instead! (Silly girl!)
*Knit a couple more squares for my throw.
Have a nice evening all,

Well Foxgloves at least you never got to fall off the non-existent motor bike
Spend day today, as we went to the market in the next town, bought veg / fruit for the week
Also did a tour of the charity shops and the weekly flea market. Bought a couple of shallowish square plastic garden tubs that will be just right for salads - for the princely sum of 50p each
Just need a wash, and holes drilled in the bottom, and good to go. Also succumbed to ANOTHER handbag
, an unused looking Fiorelli one, but it came from a charity shop so didn't break the bank. Bought a couple of things to sell on, which I don't count as personal spends because I keep separate accounts for my business, to stay on the right side of HMRC
Felt awful for some reason when we got back, headachey and generally yucky
DD came round with baby GS for a while, but I went to bed for a couple of hours after they had gone. When I got up, OH had lit the fire
and cooked something not very pleasant and rather fatty for dinner
- which I ate, as I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking, just hope my gall bladder doesn't rebel later
On a more positive note, I printed off some exercises for hip pain from the Arthritis UK web site, and will be trying those out tomorrow. I don't know yet if it is arthritis causing my problem, but I reckon anything has to be better than sitting on my behind feeling sorry for myself and getting fatter
Hoping I sleep tonight after spending much of the afternoon in bed  I promised DD I would look after the baby tomorrow while she takes her 4 year old to the cinema for the first time
Hope he isn't too grizzly
He is very cute, but I must say I prefer them when they get to the stage where they can dig around in the garden or make cakes! 0 -
Hi all - happy Thursday.
Am absolutely shattered today - work is crazy busy I've done 14 hours overtime this week already (shame I dont get paid for it or i'd be debt free in no time :rotfl:) Only one more day to struggle through though then I get 10 blissful days off.
Frantically trying to get everything packed and sorted for our trip tomorrow - really looking forward to it but the preparations are always so stressful.
Todays MSE efforts:
:A lunch was last of the leftover party food
:A working from home so heating off as soon as kids went to nursery
:A used some dregs of flour from store cupboard to make yorkshire puds for tea
:A took store cupboard snacks on school run instead of going to bakery
:A NSD
:A copied proof of name change for PPI complaint.
:A DH gets paid tomorrow so re -did budget. Am £11.93 under budget this week so that goes to debt jar
Monday is my payday - i love payday as everything resets itself and this is when I usually check all of my debts to see where I am and if I've managed to pay anything off. Current debt total stands at £20.186 - a reduction of £377 this month and my DFD has been brought forward four months to April 2024 :j:j Am absolutely over the moon with that as I thought March would be a pretty rubbish month. Just shows how all these small things do make a defference. Hoping I can get total under £20k in the next month.Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!0 -
Hi all, I've been AWOL again but I have been keeping the faith, mostly.
I've had a couple of no spend days in a row which is good for me, we also had a power cut one day which meant I actually sat down and finished the hand sewed bits of my bunting.
Tomorrow is the day of my first ever (and possibly last!) craft fair and I can't sleep, I'm quite excited. I've already loaded *most* of the stuff into the car already and got some Easter cards printed at the last minute. I've offered to turn up early to help set up and I also baked some cheese scones for the charity cake table. The house looks a bit of a tip because I've taken all the various crates that I use as furniture/log holder for my display!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -

Morning all. Hooray to Friday :j boy it's been a long week.
Things for today:
Hm granola for breakfast
Hard boiling egg for snack for small and I
Made rest of smalls packed lunch
Made hot drink for commute with morning cuppa
Meeting friend for lunch but it's at a local initiative place in a 'up and coming' part of town so it's not expensive and will only have something small as I'm going out for dinner  that was bad planning. Oh well, friend at lunch needs a shoulder so it's the right thing to do. Spends will come out of personal spends so no effect on budget.
Think DH is working Saturday night so that'll be extra in the coffers
Need to vacuum the stairs and upstairs at some point
Have said we'll do lunch on Sunday for family, so need to check what we have, think I'll just need to buy meat
Check banking, update sheet
Put my cards away, did an order from whistlefish after seeing it recommended, cards are 80p each if you buy 10 and fantastic quality. Free postage too. So I bought most of my cards for the rest of the year. Except the children at schools party ones which are the 10 for £1 the foxgloves referred to earlier this week. I have one of those card boxes split in to months, saved me a fortune over the years as if I buy in advance I always know where they are.
Dawn hope the hip is ok
Foxgloves hope cat is learning his food lesson
they must think they can out wait us :rotfl:
