Great stuff! :T
We also never leave the microwave plugged in. A microwave will use 2 to 7 watts of power while in standby mode. This energy is used to display the clock and to wait for a user command.
And we turn the Wifi "box" off at night too as it uses energy to power the lights on the display.

I've been reflecting...
Wee things that have saved us lots of money over the last year:
* When we go out we take coffee out with us. I have calculated that if every Thermos flask-full we take out with us saves us £3 we save at least £150 per year. We have two genuine Thermos flasks. I like Thermos because you can buy spares for them online making them pretty much everlasting. :coffee:
* Packed lunches are taken to work almost every day.
* Saving leftovers. Whatever if leftover gets either frozen or Tupperware'd even if it is only half an onion. We throw virtually no food in the bin.
* Buying a set of hair clippers. A £20 set of hair clippers gets used regularly on DW's hair. We save at least £50 a year on haircuts by trimming at home.
* Bread is frozen in 4-slice batches and defrosted as required. Zero bread wastage this year.
* We walk a lot even in bad weather. The car is only used for unwalkably-long journeys.
* One-in-one-out. When DW asks for a new techno-gizmo an old techno-gizmo has to be eBayed to part-fund the new toy.
* We try to buy CDs, DVDs and books secondhand and we use the library a lot.
* If something breaks we try to repair it before replacing it. Crazy things we've fixed include: washing up gloves, carrier bags and soap dispensers. YouTube is a mine of information on repairs.
* Using Stardrops and washable cloths for almost all cleaning jobs.

Hi everyone
Have been trying to follow but have had another technology fail. Ended up doing a 1 1/2 hour round trip to the s@msung shop on monday only to find out from them that I could have just sent it thru to the main repair centre:mad: so decided to have an afternoon out and have food out-all budgeted for with my food treat budget that hasn't really been tapped into for awhile.
Still doing the regular banking checks everyday-everything good
Trying to sort out my RM survey items. My time on the panel is coming to a end. I'm quite relieved this time. I was one of the ones affected with the new portal where I didn't receive the new log in stuff. It has caused a real back up of items to send.
While looking for something else I found 2 items to eBay. Will pop them on tomorrow evening.
Spends book updated, doing really well this month but next month will be hit as DD is home next week for 3 weeks, can't wait to see her seems ages since she has been home

Good Morning All
Didn't get a chance to pop on yesterday as had an early start with a blood test at Dr's and then made the most of the nice weather and got washing done and on line, also went through coat cupboard and washed all coats and dried outside, now have 2 coats to go to homeless shelter. Decluttered a few more items and managed every bit of ironing in the basket - yesterday felt like a great day, hoping for another one today.
Although it's cold it's looking good again, so today we will

Hi March Money Magicians,
Trying to swallow a few frogs this morning and do some jobs I've been ignoring.
Sometimes I get "stuck" and can't do things that would only take 5 mins if I put my mind to it.
I'll add them as I do them.
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:
* Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App. Need to decide whether I want to continue subscribing to this App.
* Check online banking and broadband usage.
* Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.
* Defrosted some homemade soup for lunch.
* Over the weeks we've frozen five scraps of leftover chilli. These will make a dinner for later.

pot & leek soup freezes fine. It does separate when defrosted but once heated through it's fine
