What small DFW things will you do w/c19th March?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

    Afternoon all :)
Hope your work day passes in a flash DNMS :)
Have a lovely time away Ally :)
1LL, no wonder you feel anxious :( Can you speak to the senior member of staff who is going on the trip about your son's condition, medication variations according to mealtimes etc? They need to keep him safe and well, and I am sure they would rather take the time to go through it with you than have to deal with a poorly child. It would help put your mind at rest too.

We had loads more snow yesterday and overnight, but thankfully it seems to be melting now. Not much done today so far :o
One of us had to go over to my brother's flat in the next town first thing, as something was being delivered and he is at work. OH went as he isn't bothered about driving in icy conditions, and I am!
Meanwhile DD arrived here with both kids, baby poorly after his latest lot of injections, all snuffly as he has a cold, poor little thing :(
Managed to make a batch of cheese scones before they arrived
Also made a batch of well behaved biscuit dough so that GD aged 4 could make biscuits :)
Some of the odds and ends I ordered for 11 year old GD2's birthday arrived from Amazon. She requested a rather odd selection of craft items. So far I have a roll of double sided tape and dispenser, and a pack of modeling clay. Still waiting for 3 more things.
Fire alight to keep the children warm without running up the heating bill too much :)

And that is about it :o Still to do:
Load of washing which will have to be pegged out tomorrow as it is too late now
Put away fireguard which I got out of loft before the children turned up, as I was concerned about GD and the stove. They have gone now, so I will wrestle it back into the loft!
    Check banks and update spreadsheet
Leftover ham, jacket potatoes and salad will do for dinner :)
    Not planning any spending today!

    Hello Monday Money Savers,
Thought I'd kick my list in while waiting for bread to finish baking. Garden was still white this morning but has thawed brilliantly so maybe I'll get out there this week.
*Baked trifle sponges for Easter & froze.
*Stewed fruit from freezer - home grown blackberries for Easter trifle & wombled cherry plums to eat instead of fresh fruit this week.
    *Baked a loaf.
*Freezer dive tonight. Am doing rice & we're having dal & channa masala with it.
*Shredded, blanched & froze leftover saboy cabbage to use in my minestrone later this week.
*Straightened out budgets which was going well until I got a phone call which messed up my calculations & plans, so had to start again.
*Overnight laundry on heated airer. Using free laundry product I was sent to test.
    *Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Recycled some clean on one side A4 paper in the printer.
    *Entered 2 prize draws.
*Knit more squares for my throw. I need 39 more.
    Have a nice evening all,

    * make sandwich for afternoon - I have breakfast and lunch but get hungry later on!
    * take PPI letter to write an appeal letter later on when things are quiet ;)

    * will nip to SM in break near work to grab some milk
    * remind oh to take my petrol receipts
