.. and more decorating.. my life is so exciting

Ooh, I love decorating! Trying to justify some hours putting finishing touches to several of the ground floor rooms, rather than declutter and unearth what lurks further into the playroom. (I got halfway in last week by sorting and flinging!)

And DH needs to put up the coat hooks this weekend. I've only been asking for five weeks  As his ultra heavy wool "bin-man" jacket snapped the hook in the pantry, I think he realises that we need something rather more robust.

My hair extensions are in and I feel like a mermaid :rotfl: - let's see how long it is before I'm looking like a hedge druid.

Flying-wise, I did zip round the kitchen today. Tomorrow, the front garden beckons. I hate gardening.

I love decorating too but it is such slow going in this pit what with appointments and small pink squealy things and school sh-tuff and the whole rest of the rubbish life throws at me.

I have so nearly finished the bathroom .. and I need dust sheets to protect DD3's room from splatty ceiling paint but I can't get in the shed.. I shall do some bossing tomorrow before OH goes to work I think!

Just put a washloads on because E7 now runs until 8:30 am and it was the third. Forecast is fo a fine breezy day so I am planning on pegging out! Line will have to be wiped first, beast from the east has made a mess of the windows so fully expect the line to be grim. Hoping the window cleaners will turn up this week. I have been leaving the gate unlocked so they can get to the side and back. Of course, I am awake stupidly early.
Sometime this holiday I need to start on the garden. First job is to trim the hydrangea and clip off dead flower heads.

    Morning all :)

Lovely sunny day so I have the WM on, got at least 3 loads to do. Rubbish and recycling are out, one of the sides in the kitchen has been cleared and the DW needs unloading. Cuppa first though.

    Have lovely days all xx

I'm up and going too, OH left for a week away this morning, he only got home late Friday so it was a quick turn round of his stuff. House reasonable tidy. Decided to get ahead with some cooking for Easter weekend when we are away in holiday house but have visitors joining us there so off to the shops to get some bits. Boeuf bourgignon to be made and put in the freezer, maybe a lasagna and will look at recipes for mini cheese cakes. Need to be things that will travel well.

    morning

I'm washed and dressed; I've made the bed, fed the birds, put out rubbish, recycling and my Mother's Day flowers, and WM is swishing. Not much, but not bad for someone wading through treacle... all I really want to do is hide/ pull the duvet over my head / stop the world and get off :o This too will pass! I'll crawl with the ball until it does; I am not quitting Slinkies (no comfort eating) or H2H (even if it's one item a day going out of the door!)

    I'm going to:
    change Sweetie's seed and water
    do a laundry shuffle
    write my Easter cards

Roundtuit - that is a lot - because when you're feeling that that even one little job is a mammoth task x

Just spent over an hour in the garden. Hydrangea deadheaded, wygelia dug up (it's died - thanks, I suspect to the Beast from the East) and border tidied. Oh and lawn edged with the lawn edger I got for Christmas. Battle with couch grass ongoing - it's one I won't ever win unless both front gardens are completely dug out and refilled with weed-free topsoil. Spending some time in the garden actually gardening is on my Easter Toots list - still not actually written down though.

OH playing in the garden with the girls.. he is pruning and they are building nests and squabbling over twigs.
I have filled 3 binbags from the girls room just with rubbish... it is so much emptier in there.
Squeaks pillow cover found and put on her bed.
    a basket of washing unearthed.

So much flinging to do and so few hours in a day!
