  • After VegetableGate yesterday (followed by the Burger-Mango-Massive Bowl of Cereal-Five Mugs of Tea and a Camomile Recovery), Himself had a bowl of pasta waiting for me when I limped in through the door today. My reaction to yesterday's offering (shovelling it down then immediately getting up and searching all cupboards and fridge for something else and answering his questions 'Would you like something else? What would you like?' with 'Yes. I don't care; burger, pasta, chips, pie, pasty, anything. I don't care. SOMETHING' and still scouring the kitchen for more obviously got my displeasure across without inflicting him with my internal monologue.

Lunchbox consisted of more boiled vegetables, Something Eww I Didn't Touch Beyond The First Taste and a forlorn looking mini pork pie. I suspect that finding everything but the pork pie still in the lunchbox has led to him currently being out in search of Proper Food (ie, tons of protein).

Anybody got any ideas why I'm going a bit loopy for protein at the moment? I've eaten the pasta because I would probably have taken a few bites out of the Idiot Cat had I been left to wait for food this long again. No interest in sweet stuff, not even much in vegetables right now (although I love them normally, they're just not enough to be counted as Food right now), fatty stuff is just bleurgh, not in the slightest bit interested in bread nor fussed about rice or pasta - stick some salt on it and I'll eat it, but - meh.

(No additional medical issues showing up on blood tests, no other symptoms that could suggest an illness - definitely not due on nor up the duff, as that would require the addition of a messenger angel, a stable and some shepherds - the only other thing I've noticed is that my fingers/hands are a bit itchy and my hair is a bit dry).

He's been gone for ages. Didn't notice Himself take a bow and arrow with him, so why it's taking so long to go five minutes round the corner to the ropey supermarket eludes me.

Maybe he's hiding? I probably would in his shoes.

Jojo.. My meativore OH I would cook him chicken, bacon and pasta.. and roasted carrot, pepper, onion, celery and chuck in a tub with a couple of boiled eggs, a few olives and some sun-dried tomatoes... it fed his 9ft 7 person for lunch.. loads of protein and some carbs and not a boiled vegetable in sight.

    Morning ladies,

Despite DD going to bed much later than normal last night (8.30pm) she was up at 5.30, yaaawwwn. Still, I have showered and washed my hair, de-fuzzed self and am now having a brew in peace whilst they watch TV in our bed.

It is bright and breezy today so I have put a load in the WM already. DW to go on after breakfast, and the bathroom needs a really good scrub. Woodburner also needs a clean out too. As well as flying I need to visit my grandma and go volunteering for a couple of hours, and do some dog walking!

Have lovely days all, will check back later xx

I sympathise ATB. Mine were up before 6am this morning too. Ratbags!

DH has just left for his interview in a suit and tie (and no beard!) Success vibes needed please :D

Got a fairly calm day (for me) today, so will be bumbling about dot-to-dotting.

Hope today is a good day for all flyladies x

    Success vibes for Dizzy's DH.

Morning flyladies. Thanks for your good wishes yesterday, I should hear something the week after next. Found out I'd not got another job I'd applied for yesterday but to be honest it was only the location it had going for it.

Can't get myself moving this morning. I've only been up half an hour and had a crumpet. Think I'll wash yesterday's dishes and then soak in the bath for a while.

    Have a great day everyone.

    :hello:

on screen keyboard sometimes refusing to load :( but I'm still here, lurking, and sending posi-vibes for interviews yesterday and today; get gone vibes to viri (viruses?) and bacteria; and daily prayers to fellow flyladies fighting the mind gremlins xx

Minimum flying done after work so far this week - just holding it together on the paid stuff front while I await the new neighbours (who pick up the keys today.) Why are what ifs? always so doom-laden? :o

DS has been told he's losing 15 hours a week at work from the end of the month and is, understandably, not happy, but snapping and snarling at me isn't the answer :( He's looking for something with better prospects - posivibes appreciated here too :D

Recycling to go out, birds to be fed, then...heigh ho, heigh ho...

    Have a good day.

Motivation and GUAG seems so have vanished here so not much done. Up, dressed, bed made, WM on,DW emptied, sofa cushions plumped up and downstairs hoovered. Tuesday and Wednesday's post dealt with and filed. Now sitting with coffee and going to watch some old Masterchef UK on the laptop.

Now I have written it all down I don't feel I have been quite so lazy, have also booked an appointment for me at the beauticians tomorrow, legs, eyebrows etc to be waxed then my treat feet and toenails. I am trying to convince myself that the good weather will be here soon. Fed up of boots, I want sandals.

Good luck to all those with interviews or job hunting, no beard bodes well for Dizzy's OH as my OH is always asking why can't people come for an interview with clean shoes and clean shaven!

Roundtuit, try thinking that your new neighbours will be different, not better or worse just different and different is fine, the world would be terrible if everyone was like you or me.

Also need to learn my history and culture before my citizenship interview. I was never good at history! Hope I enjoy better now.

    xx
