DH overtime was £150, so when transferred to ISA this brings the total to a respectable £542.86 - hooray.

    Well Done you:T:T:T

Transferred tax credits to windows fund now standing at £132.51.

Bathroom cabinet has a bid on ebay and finishes in a couple of hours, however the current bidder lives near Liverpool seems a long way for them to travel. Not keeping my hopes up that it goes through if they are the winner.

Tom has has 2 injections this morning, so housework waiting as he is unsettled. Ah what shame!

thanks frazz, having this diary has made me more focused and can see how even the pennies help to make the pounds.

have sold another book on Amazon so another £1.57 to add to the pot, cupboard has sold on ebay but not paid as yet I'll wait for a bit before I send a reminder.

Aren't kids clothes expensive? We haven't brought anything for ages as get a lot from friends dd but I was shocked when I went to find out about trousers for school £10.99 for a 3-4 year olds pair! omg she had better not grow that's all I can say!! lol
  • definately right on the diary thing...certainly keeps it in the forefront of my mind..:D

i haven't bought kids clothes for ages now, but from what i understand asda is really good for school uniforms in paticular...not sure but if you don't have an asda close by you may be able to order from their website (not ideal, i know, but it may work!!)...wouldn't hold out too much hope on the not growing..pesky little things always seem to wait until you have just bought a new load of clothes for them then have a mega growth spurt!!:rotfl:

My eldest just had his final jabs (Yr 10) and he said it was like having a completely dead arm and was on pain killers for 24 hours. Interesting - 'cos they can't tell you that when they are little:cool: I suppose they can't manoeuver themselves to a comfortable position when they are asleep either.

Ev, at least at that age they are not brand conscious! Presently dd at nearly 11 hasn't hit the peer pressure on "labels" but am anticipating it when she moves up schools of course.

Sorry to say they do keep growing, and if you think those prices are bad, don't look (yet) at the fact that shoes switch to "adult" sizing and thus VAT at a small size . DD has been in "adult" sized shoes for nearly a year..... and "chose" to grow 5cm in the summer hols alone!

Shoes arrrrgh! Big feet in our family. the trousers were at a school outfitters so off to Matalan instead.

I'm definitely thankful I haven't had to buy the rest of the uniform.

Morning all, no extra pennies planned at the mo but sending book sold on Amazon and people coming to collect cabinet this afternoon. I don't think that I would travel so far to pick up an item!

DD 4th birthday soon, I've managed to get her prezzies using vouchers so just need to get a card and wrapping paper (do you think she'd mind brown parcel paper instead? :-)

Today we are going to tidy the garden ready for winter then be ready to plant seeds in the spring.

    See you later!
  • well done on the book sale..:j it is surprising that they are coming such a long way for the cabinet...perhaps they are visiting people while they are over!

i am sure that brown paper would be fine for dd...probably won't be on the pressie for more than two and a half seconds anyway..:rotfl:

my seeds all arrived yesterday so i am off to clean out the greenhouse and start planting later..:T ooh, i get so excited about my veggies...i think i am becoming a sad old woman!:rotfl:
