  • I'm so pleased to hear you had a lovely Christmas brizzle and how good of you to give up some of your precious time with your family to help out at the shelter. :A

29% of your December income towards savings etc is wonderful - especially as you had Christmas costs and your charitable donation eating away as well. :j

Have a wonderful New Year and here's to a FIRE 2020!

Thanks lovely SSG :D Have caught up on your diary and your plans sound great. I have been taking with OH and my plan is very scarily simple. I need to be DF by my big birthday in December. End of. I just can’t go into another decade without righting the ship.

    Have a good evening all

Much love and thanks as always for dropping by

Thanks for dropping in PWPS, how’s you? Hope you had a lovely Christmas.

Feeling positive. Started the Frugalwoods Challenge as well yesterday, always good to have some motivational emails in the inbox and will help make sure January is as frugal as it can possibly be.

    Have a good day folks

I love the fresh start feel to a new year. All the challenges to join and a fresh burst of motivation. Shame you can't bottle that feeling and keep it going all year round :) Looking forward to following your road to debt freedom by the end of the year.

Thanks SA. It’s all going OK tbh. Not brilliant, but OK. We are spending more than we hoped, stuff coming up, but the big positives for this month will be additional pay for OH as he has done some OT and our new lodger. Think it will work out well. I have also been very behind on claiming work expenses but finally got my act together and they are now in. So should make for a month when we can really put some welly into paying down the debt.

Start the training for the side hustle next weekend too...am nervous but looking forward to it too. Won’t say much as could unmask me in RL a tad too much, but it’s about being brave for me this year. Doing stuff that challenges me, makes me use sides of myself that don’t get used at work etc, maybe not exactly looking forward to it, more that I will be doing something that is good for me and my wellbeing longer term.

Having an AF few days in order to keep my mind clear and focussed :)

    Have a great weekend all

  • Intrigued with the side hustle! I hope the training for it goes well!:)

    Thanks SSG :)
  • Side hustle sounds like a great challenge. Plus if it brings in some cash too even better.

    Have a good week.

Another one here doing the Frugalwoods challenge. I am being helped by having to be away M-F for a month :( Only managed to spend three times this week on fuel or food, would have been once for food and once for fuel if i had written a better shopping list!

The side hustle sounds interesting. I would like to earn some extra as there is no opportunity to do so through work but I don’t have a set schedule so would need to be something on line.

    Have a great week :)
