Ooh so some small upsides since yesterday:
- biggest was that because OH unexpectedly sat down to do his tax return before the deadline and its not too horrendous (although wouldn't it have been nice if it wasn't needed at all) he will pay it off with a reduced pay packet for the rest of this tax year, meaning we dont have to find a big sum next month so its onwards with the paying down the first big CC :j :j
- NSD today (whoop)
- fab dinner from freezer - fish (grey mullet fillets so reasonably priced I recall) and various roast veg including sweet potatoes (my favourite) and green beans - all ready when we came home from a class this evening before watching the last David Attenborough - Seven Worlds - episode. Very proud of him (he's irreplaceable although not as important as those Northern Rhinos I agree) and of my city where this fab telly stuff is made:D
Have a good evening all

Thanks all.
Head down, work and to try and get ahead before Christmas starts. Lots of odds and ends though, need to start a list.
Can’t believe Christmas is less than a week away....so totally unprepared....but in good news that does mean we aren’t spending!! :rotfl: few things to get still, but that’ll be a job for Sunday.
Money is tight, but YNAB is working out well. Certainly feel more ahead of the curve than ever before. Household insurance paid for a lump sum, tax bill paid in full. Next terms accommodation bill paid, all chunky numbers, but all paid for from current account which is great.
Hope everyone is ok

I think all of us think we aren't prepared for Christmas but in reality we've done enough to get by. When you really think about it why do we need all this extra stuff just because it's Christmas.
Brilliant that you managed to pay off the chunky bills in one goI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
