Well not sure about that Ig...but I am trying to be in fight mode all and every day
Thanks for popping by XS, how's it going..must pop by yours and see how your OH's new role is going too.
For some reason I am feeling quite spritely so after trying to help DD2 with some History and sorting out what her exam TT might look like I have been pootling on YNAB and my goals. Must be the snow settling or something :rotfl:
It's not been bad. 17% 'savings' or in my case against the debt. SO we have spent less than we earnt this month. Hardly at Mrs FW levels but spending less than we earn is always a winner and not always the case as regular readers will knowI'll take that and keep on pushing it.
Groceries were under £600, we spent a lot on fueland kept up the 2.5% tithe to various charities. there were also spends like train fares to London for DD2 and a 3 year rail card for her (via TCB naturally)..it all mounts up, but nothing that we wasted iyswim. I'll bank that.
In terms of exercise, don't think I have ever done so much - 16 runs of around 4-5km each, 2 long walks and an exercise class. So pretty much an activity every 2 days. No bad at all. I need to keep on and make running and being thoughtful about food, diet, alcohol and sleep a habit and a priority for me. Cutting down on alcohol has been good for me too and I think I will try to treat February in the same way. I have only drunk alcohol 4 times in the last 25 days. I thought it would mean the pounds would simply fall off...but sadly not. Must be a sign of ageAnd..tada...am getting more sleep. Not commuting is paying off big time.
Decluttering is good - hit the target. LSDs and NSDs never seem to work in the Brizzle household, either me or OH always seem to be paying out for something.
So thats it - the unveiling of the scores on the January doors. Not a bad January. I just need to get used to being so skint I am wondering if the debits will squeak through...but honestly its not bad thing. It keeps me having a laser focus and the fire hose is on full in terms of paying off the debt :T0 -

Sounds like a fab start to the year brizzle I don't do nsd either or at least target as there's always something. When I do it's just a bonus
Impressive expertise, I've managed 35 miles this month, which is my most since a peak before last years heat wave and my illness so I'll take that. Long may that continue for both of us.0 -
Thanks both. Yes I was surprised at how well January went to be honest. It didn’t feel like that at the time. But it’s a motivation to continue pushing hard on every front in Feb.
No school for DD2 today. She’ll be thrilled.....0 -
Had a NSD yesterday ..well did until 6pm when OH went to get some 0% beers as someone was coming round for dinner but then we drank red wine anyway (face plant emoji) ..just bought DD1 some travel insurance via the MSE site so hope that’s good. Cheaper than I expected so I will take that.
Planning a quiet weekend, have some work to do but apart from that all good. If the snow clears I will go for a run x0 -
Enjoy your weekend
xx
