Thanks SA! He loves it... so at least it’s not a wasted purchase.
I forgot I treated myself yesterday to a lovely lunch - super healthy and a bullet coffee in the big smoke.. £9.30 but so worth it. Amazed by the range of healthy eating in the city :rotfl: but that was it, so could be worse. Dinner was lovely. Feeling recharged by good company and stuck to some 0% beer too. Am enjoying this no drinking lark so far..
Have a good weekend folks. Now off to make a TT, I know how to live :rotfl:0 -
The lunch was from a shop called Crussh. Not for everyday - that wouldn’t be frugal at all - but as a takeaway I was pretty impressed.0

I used to visit Crussh quite regularly a few years ago as they had a branch next to the office where I worked previously. I used to get my morning porridge there and also most of my lunches. You are right - spoilt for choice here with healthy food options, but oh does it come with a price! :eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yep spoilt for choice I was....but today was a different story, took my lunch in a plastic container and once again was snaffling it at top speed on the train. Its working pretty well and I seem to be avoiding the crisps sandwiches and other stuff that I would have usually been scoffing.
Working from home tomorrow. Its been a tough few days so glad of it. Working away on Weds and then 2 days working at home which will hopefully mean that I break the back of what I need to do.
I need to hunker down really. Supporting DD2 with her exam prep is proving hard and OH is very busy at work. We are also completely skint. I am having to watch every penny (no bad thing but its another thing to do). I had to raid the savings again to address some VAT payments but I guess that's what they are there for. I am so determined to get rid of this debt..I never want to have just a few pounds for the rest of the week...:o But I have to say its amazing what we don't need. We still have lots of food and actually its quite fun looking at what we have and making something of it, substituting blue cheese for feta and trout for chicken - like today. Surprisingly scrummy.
Hope everyone has a great week, thanks for popping by

Thanks all for popping by.
Its been a good week. No alcohol. 2 lots of exercise this week and planning to go for another short run today. No time for class but I find if I get dressed into my exercise gear I can usually find 30 mins to run off in-between calls and then can eat my lunch (already prepped in fridge, I love WfH!) at the PC..
Money wise its been extraordinarily tight. We have had pennies in our account several times this week. Haven't been like this for years. but do you know what..we survived. we managed and now all the family know that I mean business. We are officially going to be debt free and push on.
In positive news I think my take home may be more than I had estimated (certainly will be this month) plus OH is thinking of upping his hours on this new project that he will be working on. Maybe a 9 day fortnight and some WfH. So that's more money but hopefully not a crazy increase in stress. At the moment he just works more and doesn't get paid for it (where is that eye roll emoji)
Pressure being steadily applied to DD2 about exams. She's doing pretty well actually. Results won't necessarily be stellar but she will have put serious effort in which is what really matters to me. No social media after 9:30 during the week is a god send. Hated rule but she's a nicer person for itWill keep you posted.
