The old one worked - just required lots and lots of elbow grease.. the person who collected it was very happy. I do like Freecycle when people turn up promptly
Im very fond of a new domestic appliance myself! New dishwasher being fitted shortly - I haven't had a dishwasher for years. Hate washing up so can't wait! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Oh wow!! A new dishwasher. I call it essential. In our house it’s called the magic cupboard :rotfl: no explanation needed. I haven’t been keeping up to date with your kitchen progress SSG - is ur terribly exciting?? I bet it is.
Jwil- it’s the small things that make the difference I find. The small joys. Going home now with some YS salad and garlic bread and have already defrosted the pizzas. Hardly a healthy meal but I can’t cope this evening with a big cook... still wrestling the new work and DD2 is constantly needing support or to be taken to classes. So RM it is. But cheaper than going out or a TA. Talking of which I used Gastronomy Economy at the weekend.. recommend their belly pork and beans recipe. Frugal and dead tasty. But saw they do HM takeaway recipes so should check them out.
Have a good evening folks. Dark and miserable here. Also cold so we have ordered a tonne of wood. A job for OH to stack at the weekend..0 -

All good and easing into the new role. It'll be fab I am sure.
Sorting my company accounts/answering queries from the accountant...sense of trepidation as to what I will need to set aside for tax. Could be a lot, but hope to know for sure next week.
Shattered now so will go to sleep. Have updated my signature. AFDs not bad, exercise has tailed off and decluttering has been so-so. Spends are worse than expected as I am spending for Christmasand have been paying off the October holiday
so will be interesting to run the usual YNAB reports next week and see what unfolded in the end. It will be good to have a settled income that pays even when on holiday..that will be a true plus from going perm, and very few holidays booked next year...that should keep costs down.
