Whoops!! Interrupted post. All good. Will update later. Glad to have done another week with much less travel. It is getting very dark and wintry though, I miss the light summer days.

Have a good evening all x

It is grim isn’t it. Dark already :(

A good weekend on balance although we had a splurge on Thursday evening (restocked on some items that will make life easier- eg a vacuum we pensioned off to Freecycle that was 12 years old and pretty useless with all the pet fur we seem to get in our house as well as Xmas presents) but we did do some good things like Oxfam gift cards for stockings and yep the vacuum is already a joy.

Did a small amount of decluttering - another 10 items - will update my signature. Every little helps. OH also sold some items and so the PayPal account can be raided for £50 :) The solar panels also netted £283. Not fab but certainly better than nothing, especially given the weeks that they weren’t working. Student also stayed so income topped up a little.

Emotions wise I am feeling a bit mixed tbh. DD2 is really focussed and putting in the hours but worried it’s not all useful. And it’s unrelenting. Do fear we are in danger of putting our kids off learning with the unremitting pressure of it all. Luckily I breathe a sigh of relief that DD1 is through so only one to shepherd.

Hope everyone had a good start to the week x

And it’s funny how a new domestic applicance could have made me and OH so happy!! It just uses up less of our life energy. The old one worked - just required lots and lots of elbow grease.. the person who collected it was very happy. I do like Freecycle when people turn up promptly

Congrats on the new vacuum. It's always joyful!

    Well done on the decluttering.
